Linksmen will usher in the Marysville Strawberry Festival doing what they love — playing golf.

The Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce is organizing a tournament that takes place Saturday, June 11, at Cedarcrest Golf Course located at 6810 84th St. NE, Marysville. Registration for the golf tournament closed May 11.

“It was a good partnership between Maryfest and the Chamber,” said Ivonne Sepulveda, president and CEO of the Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce, of the relationship with the group that organizes the Strawberry Festival.

Golfers check-in at 7:15 a.m. with a shotgun start taking place at 8 a.m. The tournament concludes at 2 p.m. followed by a barbecue and awards ceremony.

A raffle for gift baskets will take place with tickets costing $10 each or five tickets for $40. Baskets include a margarita-theme, Tulalip resort, an Everett Silvertips basket and more, Sepulveda said adding, as of press time, 18 baskets were available.

In addition, anyone who shoots a hole-in-one will win a 2022 Toyota Tundra provided by sponsor Marysville Toyota, Sepulveda said.

Money raised from the golf tournament will help fund Marysville Strawberry Festival community service scholarships.
