Princess Rachel Turral

One of the Princesses for this year’s Strawberry Festival is Rachel Turral.

Rachel and the Royalty have already been a part of a couple of the festivals happening around the state.

“It’s been really fun so far,” she said. “I definitely enjoy the parades that we have and you get to see the whole community come out when we visit.”

Throughout the summer she hopes to make new friends with all of the other Royalty members from different festivals.

“I like meeting the other Royalties. They have all been very sweet,” said Rachel.

Turral’s family has a long history with the Strawberry Festival.

“My sister and my mom were part of the Royalty as well and I remember when they did it and had such a fun time,” said Rachel.

Rachel was able to continue that tradition by being a part of this year’s royalty.

“I wanted to represent my community and meet new people,” she said.

This year’s Strawberry Festival will return after a hiatus and Rachel hopes that people come out to celebrate it.

“I’m mainly looking forward to the parade. We haven’t had it in two years in Marysville so I think a lot of people will come out and be a part of it this year
