DEAR OAK HILL SCHOOL COMMUNITY,
As Chair of the Board of Trustees, it is my distinct privilege to serve alongside such an extraordinary community of individuals who are deeply committed to the mission of Oak Hill School. It is so encouraging to watch dedicated leaders and educators work in common purpose to live out our mission: to build character and integrity in a Christian environment that prepares our students for a lifetime of learning and service. Their unwavering commitment ensures that every student who walks through our doors receives not only an excellent education but also a foundation rooted in faith and values.
I am continually inspired by the generosity of our community. Your incredible support of the Oak Fund has provided transformative educational opportunities for our faculty and students while empowering our Head of School, Hart Roper, and his leadership team to direct resources to areas of greatest need. This collective investment enables us to grow, innovate, and remain steadfast in our mission.
In an ever-changing world, it is deeply encouraging to witness Oak Hill School’s enduring commitment to its elementary school identity and as an outreach of First Presbyterian Church. Our Christian foundation continues to guide us, ensuring we remain an outstanding institution for the students and families we serve.

LETTER FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
DEAR OAK HILL SCHOOL COMMUNITY,
As I reflect on this past year, I have a deep sense of gratitude for the generosity and dedication of the Oak Hill School family. In my seventh year as Head of School, I am constantly inspired by the commitment of parents, alumni, grandparents, past parents, and friends who believe in and support our mission with their time and philanthropy.
During the 2023-24 fiscal year (July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024) the school raised more than $1.2 million for the Oak Fund, thanks to the support of more than 750 donors. Your contributions have not only provided vital resources for our students and faculty but have also helped us launch an exciting new chapter in our school’s history. A portion of these funds allowed us to begin the First Mile Campaign, our first capital campaign in nearly two decades. This initiative builds upon the remarkable foundation laid by previous leadership and positions Oak Hill School for a vibrant future, ensuring we continue to provide exceptional opportunities for our faculty and for the next generation of learners.
I would also like to recognize and thank last year’s Parent Association Presidents, Linsay and John Ozier, for their outstanding leadership and tireless efforts. Their commitment to building a strong, inclusive community was evident in the wonderful events and gatherings that brought us closer together as a school family. We are grateful for their contributions and service to the school.
As we celebrate these accomplishments, we also look ahead with faith and optimism, knowing that together we are writing the next chapter of Oak Hill School’s story. It is because of you that Oak Hill School continues to thrive as a place where students are inspired to grow in faith, knowledge, and service to others.

We embrace intentional instruction, caring for our students’ “heads and hearts.” The right balance between academics and curiosity leads to a Joyful Foundation for lifelong learning.
Creating a foundation rooted in faith is a hallmark of an Oak Hill education. As students develop their faith, growing in grace, they view themselves as God’s children guided by lessons from Bible classes, Chapel, Flag Raising and more.
The Oak Hill community is a place where each child is deeply cared for and loved. To do anything well, we must do it with our hearts, our minds, and our strength for the love of God, ourselves, and our neighbors. It is in this spirit of community that our students joyfully discover their place in the world and the importance of their interconnectedness to others.

Scholarship Fund
Established in 2022 by friends and family of the McDowell twins, David McDowell ‘69 and Dennis McDowell ‘69, who were blessed by the brothers’ love, friendship, camaraderie, and generosity. This fund provides assistance to students with financial need and who bring unique characteristics that would further enrich the Oak Hill School community.

PARENTS ASSOCIATON
The Oak Hill School Parents Association had a fantastic year. Hundreds of parents spent time putting together the many community building events, traditions, and fundraisers that are vital for our school. Events such as Round Up, Grandparents and Special Friends Day, Consignment Sales and Spring Fling are only made possible through the work of our wonderful Parents Association volunteers.
