,,, So I’ve been asked to do a bit of a write up about David, where do I start? It’s hard to put into words as I could go on all day about him, both about dogs and away from the dogs he was a true loyal friend, a joy to know and a big loss to everyone that knew him. Gentleman fits him to a T, he would do anything for anyone, he was a great hubby to Sarah and their dogs were treated like their kids. David and Sarah had such an amazing bond, they were best friends & soul mates, she was his life and he was hers. Sarah is expecting their first child, which they had only recently & very proudly revealed. Myself and Kirsty will always be there for Sarah, alongside her close friends and family she will not want for nothing, only David but he will always be with her in spirit. Many people will know him from Facebook, but away from there the real David was the exact same person. Always joking, playing pranks and messing about, in fact he took nothing in life to serious apart from when it came to getting Sarah to do his male grooming lol and of course his beloved bulldogs. The best way for me to tell you about him in a nutshell is anyone that had him on Facebook liked him, anyone met him liked him and when he was your true friend you loved him just like he loved you back, a true loyal man. David was very passionate about Bulldogs, he was always wanting to learn and soak up any new info he could. He was never afraid to ask questions or for advice, many times we sat up to the early hours taking dogs, type, pedigrees, future matings, handling tips or this that or the other. He had plans to take over the world.......and trust me, he would have, his passion and drive was 2nd to none, he was already doing very well with his Champion Dog Deniro, Ir Ch Ocobo Jaw Dropper Of Sardav.

They were controlling the shows here and were doing well in the mainland UK also. Just the week before he passed away David & DeNiro beat the current top winning UK dog in a tough open class. He was also showing a lovely female for his friends in Scotland, again doing a great job with her and only needing 1 GREEN STAR/CAC to gain her title - she gained this on the day of David’s funeral, a very emotional but fitting send of for him. His newest big hope was his new baby puppy dog, Uno - Sardav Número uno, he was a best baby puppy in breed & 4th best baby puppy in show at his first show. Uno is a very flashy typey young dog and very healthy with a big future ahead of him, watch this space & remember his name. Even tho David was always the face of Sardav Bulldogs, he always said Sarah was the backbone of their kennels....the perfect team. Sarah will continue with David’s legacy & I have no doubt Sardav Bulldogs will continue to go from strength to strength.

C-Section Glen Kolenc What is the likelihood of someone doing there own C-Section? The actual surgical procedure could be taught to someone - so with being taught properly yes a breeder could do it. However these are the things to consider that would make it Extremely unlikely (virtually impossible) that it would be feasible that a breeder could do it: - how would they induce and maintain anaesthesia? Who would monitor he anaesthesia? What would they do it something went wrong? - how would they get the bitch prep’d for surgery? - how would they get a sterile surgical kit? - and suture material? Antibiotics! Pain relief? Etc etc. The breeder would need to do it in a proper sterile surgical theatre So I can’t see how they’d pull it off. But excluding all those things - the actual procedure of c-section could be taught Note by editor: the question was asked as I was accused of having friends who performs their own C-Sections. First of all I have 3,500 friends on Facebook - I don’t know what any of them do in their private life nor am I responsible for their actions. In my opiion this is highly unlikely anyway and the type of comments a trouble maker would revert to.

Bulldog love by Linda Kvammen It all started in the winter of 2007. I met an English bulldog named Fergie. She was so beautiful, charming and wonderful in every way. We got almost six years together before we, heavy-heartedly, had to say goodbye when she passed away. To this day her memory still makes me teary-eyed. Until then, I had not known that animals could bring that much love and joy to me and my family. I have been longing for a bulldog ever since. No other breed was ever considered. The summer of 2013 arrived, and brought lots of happiness into our lives. My partner and I made a spontaneous trip to Sweden, and made a little pit stop at Jorunn and Frode’s place in Åsgårdstrand. That was where it happened, we fell in love. A small Jofro-bulldog, white with three brown spots on its back, slightly cheeky and not yet walking steadily. He had been nicknamed, “Kompis” (buddy), and it suited him well. I got to hold him and he licked my face. It was love at first sight. Frode said, “you can take him home today”, and so we did. What a joy!! We went straight into maternal and paternal leave-mode, with a chaotic mix of little sleep, laughter and tears. It has been amazing!! He gives us so much love, not to mention entertainment. His personality is super cute, and his stubbornness out of this world. We would never want to be without him. Last, but not least, we have a breeder that we appreciate enormously. Jorunn, thank you for all the support and follow-up! We are eternally grateful for Kompis. He is now two years old and is growing into his fur and personality. Every day is a true fairytale. Beach and forest walks are his favourites. You would be hard pressed to find a happier, more cheerful little bulldog boy. Pure bliss!

What’s there to say about English Bulldogs? Fall 2015 Leaves are changing into the most impressive colors. Nuts and acorns are falling from the trees. Summer is over and fall is here. Days are getting shorter again and we are back home. We had a fantastic summer in our holiday home. We had a lot of visitors and at one point couldn’t keep up with wondering who is who? We had a fantastic time, good weather not to hot …just perfect. I love lying in the sun as you know and I think I over did it. At one point my balls where sunburnt all over. The sheets hung it. So I had to dose my time in the sun more. Our friend and also sister of my brother stayed with us for two weeks. We always have a lot of fun when she is over. We know her so well by now. The minute she walks into our garden she tries to impress us. Our boss calls here Queen Emma. I think it is because she walks like a lady, eats like a lady and tries to seduce us all. She also sits and sleeps on the bench. When she sits on the bench she does it with her nose in the wind. She loves to cuddle with our bosses. Most of the times she hangs out with my brother because they play a lot. The alternate who begins. It goes on all day. When my brother is fed up, she comes for me. And when I do not respond she tries to ride on me. That’s the moment I have to act like an man. I have my dignity too. One evening I almost fell out of my dogbed…..she started flirting with my male boss too and started riding him. My female boss almost peed in here pants of laughter. You should have seen the look on his face……priceless. I always miss here when she is gone, its different to have a ‘sister’.

Annette: Bulldog Story Another peak of this holiday was the visit of 4 little puppies and there owners. I think they were about 12 weeks old. And some of them looked a lot like my brother. I heard my boss say they are his daughters. I felt a kind of old ….and memories of my own childhood came back. It was chaos all over the place. They were peeing wherever they wanted to, eat everything they saw, chased each other through the garden, hung on each leg they encountered and bit each other a little too hard. All other campers stopped at our fence to take a look. It must have been a beautiful and strange spectacle to see. Especially when you have never seen a English bulldog before. I did not dare to walk around because my balls were almost recovered from the sunburn, and it looked like they made a game of it to bite my balls as much as they could. I am not ready to give them up yet. I had nightmares for several nights…….4 puppies with my balls in their mouth…..a woke up all wet from the cold sweat. After an hour and a half thank god they started to get tired and they turned into little sleeping angels. They took over our dog beds and we had to lie on the floor. Our bosses and all the bosses of the puppies looked like they were in seventh heaven. They had a smile from ear to ear all afternoon. And they couldn’t stop talking to each other about their adventures with their own bulldog. So I think we will have more of these kind of reunions in the future. You don’t hear me complain when that happens especially when those beautiful puppy girls are older. And I think I will make a suggestion that my brother and me volunteer to take care of them when their bosses need sitters. I have to go now because we are going for a walk. See you later!!!! Greetings from Hazes
