Police Reports Miami County Sheriff Department July 18 A possible driving under the influence case was reported at S U.S. 31 and W Broadway St, Bunker Hill. No poor driving behavior was observed. A complainant at 36063 Beale CT, Peru reported that his ex-girlfriend sent him a random text message the previous day stating that she “hopes he gets what’s coming to him” and another message shortly after stating that “if you f around you might get shot.” The complainant wanted this for record only and did not want them to contact the female half. Theft was reported at 42026 Hamilton CT, Peru. Officers attempted to contact the subject. Harassment was reported at 2069 W 1100 S, Bunker Hill. A suspicious person was reported at W Riverside Dr. and S 50 W, Peru. Officers were unable to locate the subject. A possible driving under the influence case was reported at W Logansport Rd. and S 500 W, Peru. Officers responded to the
area of W Farview Dr. and S Bus. 31, Peru for a single vehicle property damage crash. Driver was experiencing medical issued and transported to the cath lab at Howard Community. Heeter's Towing towed the vehicle to Roann. A welfare check was conducted at 493 E 800 N, Denver. All checked okay; miscommunication between husband and wife was the culprit. Knights Inn at 2661 S Bus. 31, Peru requested that an individual that is not staying at the hotel be trespassed from the hotel. Trespass warning issued. Officers at 1518 E St. Rd. 18, Kokomo spoke to a complainant who loaned his car to a girlfriend, and they have since split up. The complainant re-
quested that officers order her to return the car to him and became angry when they advised him that this would be a civil issue that would require going to a small claims court. While attempting to explain the situation to the complainant, he continued to grow angry and hung up. A possible driving under the influence case was reported at W St. Rd. 18 and S U.S. 31, Kokomo. July 19 A suspicious person was reported at E 1000 S and S Strawtown Pike, Bunker Hill. Male checked
okay. He was walking his cat. A police department accident was reported at 3015 W 850 S, JJ’s #7, Bunker Hill. An officer rear ended at a stop sign. A wanted person was reported at 39061 Edwards CT, Peru. A trespass violation was reported at 250 E 1200 N, Macy. A report was filed. Knights Inn at 2661 S Bus. 31, Peru stated they observed a male (Deon McCants) on property that was issued a trespass warning. They advised he left when they saw him. Obituaries Gregory Mitting, 73
Thomas G. Turley, Jr., 73 Thomas G. Turley Jr. passed away July 14, 2022. He was born Aug. 26, 1948, in Kokomo, Indiana to Thomas G. Turley Sr. (deceased) and Clare M. Karns (surviving). On April 7, 1968, he married the love of his life, Billie J. (Jeanie) Rexstrew. He served in the U.S. Army and was sent to Vietnam from 1968-1969. He retired from General Motors in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 2006. He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanie, his three children; Thomas G. Turley lll (Wife, Dyan) Peru, Indiana, Trina J. Barnes (Husband, Chris) Peru, Indiana, Matthew S. Turley (Wife, Evelyn) Peru, Indiana, step-mother, Vickie Turley, Kokomo, In-
diana, step-father, Fred Rutherford, Kokomo, Indiana, nine grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren, three brothers; Tim Turley, Florida, Chris Turley, Kokomo, Indiana, Don Rutherford, Mississippi, two sisters; Erica Cartwright, Lebanon, Indiana, Monica Lamons, Kokomo, Indiana, and numerous nieces and nephews. He has a passion for flying since he was a teenager and achieved that goal when he got his pilot's license Aug.
17, 1995. He loved playing his guitar and being on the water on his boat and creating life-long memories for all who shared it with him. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Peru, Indiana, VFW Post 1152 in Kokomo, Indiana, Isaac Walton League in Portage, Indiana, and Marquetta Yacht Club in Portage, Indiana. Loving husband, father, and brother, Gregory Mitting, 73, of Roann, Indiana, passed away in his home at 11:30 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2022. Gregory was born June 12, 1949, in Wabash, Indiana, the son of Robert and Doris (Dickson) Mitting. He grew up working in the family greenhouse before attending Valparaiso Technical Institute where he earned his Electronics Technology certificate in 1970. He married Kathy Venoy Feb. 11, 1977, and soon started a family. Together they
opened a hobby shop, Kidsville, in Wabash, Indiana, which they operated for almost 30 years. In addition, they later took over the family flower business, Mitting’s Flowers, that Gregory’s grandparents had started. He was an avid golfer, excellent chess opponent, and a champion ping pong player. Gregory is sur-
vived by his three children, Scott (Avryana) Mitting of Phoenix, Arizona, Kary (David) Martin of Auburn, Indiana, and Sara (Austin) Neidigh of Bloomfield, IN; five grandchildren, Kaylee Martin, Alyssa Martin, Molly Martin, Cooper Martin, and Jude Neidigh; three brothers Robert (Sue) Mitting, William Mitting, and Michael Mitting; three step siblings Susie Rohr, Melissa Showalter, and Steve Ford. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Gregory will be greatly missed.
Mary Ann Campbell-Roark, 61 Mary Ann Campbell-Roark, 61, Peru, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, at her residence. Born Aug. 18, 1960, in Phoenix, Arizona, she was the daughter of Billy Ray Campbell and Joann Ann McCarthy Berenschot. She was married to William Roark on Nov. 2, 2008, and he preceded her in death. She was a dental assistant by trade having graduated from Bio-Systems Institute in Tempe, Arizona. Survivors include her daughter, DaNielle Jonae

She was preceded in death by her son; Jacob Paul Campbell; and stepfather, Albert Berenschot; and brothers, Jerry, and David Campbell. Funeral services were held at Noon, Thursday, July 21, 2022, at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, with Pastor Billy Sheets officiating. Burial followed in Reyburn Cemetery, Peru. Obituaries Donald L. Oldham, 89 Donald L. Oldham, 89, of Peru, passed away at 7:55 a.m., Friday, July 15, 2022, at Aperion Care Nursing Home, Peru. Donald was born in Peru, March 14, 1933, the son of Clarence and Kathern Graham Oldham. Don was a 1951 graduate of Peru High School and a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, and his Military decorations include the National Defense Service Medal. Don is survived by siblings Betty Shelly, Rebecca Oldham, Mary Curry, Boyd Ribble, and Kenneth Ribble. He was
preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ruth Oldham and Mildred Phillipy and brothers Floyd Oldham and Frank Oldham. A Military Graveside Service provided by the Miami County Military Rites Unit will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, at Mt Hope Cemetery, Peru. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may

Elizabeth Sue Garber Graybill, 55 Elizabeth Sue Garber Graybill, 55, Logansport, Indiana, (Mexico Church District), departed this life for a better one on high, Thursday, July 21, 2022. Born Sept. 11, 1966, in Iola, Kansas, she was the daughter of Donald Garber and Ellen Flory Garber. On Sept. 5, 1992, she married Raymond Graybill of Camden, Indiana. They shared twentynine wonderful years together. Elizabeth was baptized, along with three others, into the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, on April 14, 1985, and remained faithful. Elizabeth fought cancer for over three years, finally giving up to God’s will for her. She was anointed Oct. 21, 2021, and then again on July 11, 2022. This gave her much peace of mind. Her greatest wish was for her children to follow Jesus and meet her up in Heaven. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband, Raymond Graybill, Logansport; her four children, Susanna Graybill, Granby, Colorado; Riley Graybill, Camden, Indiana; Jonathan and Luke Graybill, both at home; brother,

Garber. Raymond and Elizabeth moved frequently in their married life. Beginning at Camden, Indiana, then to Athens, Wisconsin, then to Quinter, Kansas, and back to Wisconsin, where they were charter members of White Pines District. They moved to Goshen, Indiana and ended up in Logansport, Indiana. They made numerous friends along the way thus enriching their lives. Visitation was from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, at the Mexico Old German Baptist Brethren Church, near Hoover. The funeral service was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the Mexico Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 9630 East County Road 375 North, Logansport, Indiana, with Home Brethren officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Eight of her nephews will carry her to her final resting place. McClain Funeral Home, Denver, Indiana, has been entrusted with arrangements.

Officers advised he needed to have it plated and get taillights and a headlight before riding on the roadway. He pushed it to his father’s home in the area. July 21 Suspicious juveniles were reported at 156 W Lutz Dr, Bunker Hill. Officers were unable to locate suspicious juveniles in the area. A lost dog was reported at 3365 W River Rd, Peru. Prior to officer arrival, the caller advised that their lost dog returned home.
