DUANE R. JUSTUS
WESTVILLE, IN - Duane R. Justus, 69, died Thursday, October 31, 2024. He was born January 23, 1955, in Chesterton, Indiana, to the late Roscoe Conklin Justus Jr. and Juanita (Harless) Justus.
Duane loved motorcycles and was a member of ABATE.
He is survived by his children: Joshua Justus of Rensselaer, Indiana and Rhiannan (Brian) Holmes of Knox, Indiana, two granddaughters, two sisters: Diane (Dennis) Kilkenny and Deanne McClendon, both of Michigan City, Indiana and one brother, Douglas (Cheryl) Justus of Kernersville, North Carolina.
No services are planned at this time.

BRENDA ROSE STANOJEVIC
NORTH JUDSON, IN - Brenda Rose
Stanojevic, 70, died Friday, November 8, 2024. She was born November 17, 1953, in Knox, Indiana, to the late Lavelle G. and Dorthy Hanson. In 1987, she married Peter D. Stanojevic.
Brenda was a 1972 graduate of North Judson San Pierre High School. She worked as an office manager for Dr. Damodaran for 30 years. She was a proud Republican and served as the Starke County Republican Chairman for many years. She loved having the best looking landscape around and could always be found tidying up her yard. She also enjoyed crocheting, participating in county political events and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two daughters: Jennifer (Bope) Flores of North Judson and Jaime Bope of Winamac, Indiana, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and her sister, Beth Wallskog of North Judson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, one son, Mark Stanojevic and one brother, Brad Hanson.
Services were held Tuesday, November 12, at the O’Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. Burial was in the Highland Cemetery in North Judson.
Arrangements were made by O’Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. in North Judson.
DONALD LEE WILSON
La PORTE, IN - FORMERLY OF KNOX, IN - Donald Lee Wilson, 81, died Sunday, November 10, 2024 in Merrillville, Indiana. He was born March 16, 1943, in Knox, Indiana to the late Franklin and Olive (Cobbler) Wilson.
Donald was a member of the Knox American Legion and had worked as a laborer for AM General.
He is survived by one brother, Richard Wilson of Walkerton, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Wilson and many siblings.
Private services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.
Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.
MSG LARRY CORE UTTERBACK
CHARLOTTE, NC - MSG Larry Core Utterback, US Army Ret., 86, died Saturday, November 9, 2024. He was born May 19, 1938, in Bargersville, Indiana, to Earl Morris Utterback (former Indiana State Senator) and Dorothy Edel (Core) Utterback. On January 1, 1960, he married Marian Bartlett. She died in 2012. On March 3, 2017, he married Mary (Boardman) Swayze.
Larry had an illustrious military career that spanned 30 years. He was a lifelong educator, having taught school for 4 decades, beginning at Twin Lakes High School in Monticello, Indiana and then in Darlington, South Carolina, finishing his career in North Carolina.
He is survived by his second wife, Mary Olive Swayze of Star City, Indiana, one son, Neal Allen Utterback of State College, Pennsylvania, one daughter, Lee Ann (Mario) James of Charlotte, two grandchildren, two brothers: E. Lennis (Janis) Utterback of Stuart, Florida and Michael D. (Susie) Utterback of Nashville, Tennessee and one sister, Jo Ellen (Patrick) Cain of Greentown, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Utterback and Dorothy Utterback Paddack, step father, Maurice Deer Paddack and two sisters: Nancy Babb and Barbara Campbell.
Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30am EST on Friday, December 13 at Frain Mortuary, with services starting at 10:30am, with Jon Frain officiating. Burial will be at 2pm EST at the Marion National Cemetery in Marion, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Pulaski County Human Services Food Pantry Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac, Indiana.
WILLIAM WILSON
KNOX, IN - William Wilson, 94, died Friday, November 15, 2024 in Plymouth, Indiana. He was born April 15, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Harry and Marjorie (Krause) Wilson. On July 1, 1951, in Knox, Indiana, he married Evelyn Warren. She died November 9, 2015.
William was a member of the 1st Christian Church and Knox Moose Lodge. He was a licensed pilot, who loved to fly his plane. He also enjoyed boating, dancing, golfing and spending time with his family. He worked as a self employed painter
He is survived by two sons: William (Diane) Wilson Jr. of Texas and John (Cory) Wilson of Knox, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Marilynne Wilson.
Friends will be received from 10am till time of service at 1pm on Wednesday, November 20, with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating, at the Braman & Son Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Park Cemetery in Knox. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.
