Course to build leaders SIPHESIHLE NOTWABAZA @SihleMusic
T
o help and guide young boys with life challenges, a group of young, passionate community development leaders have launched an empowerment course called Becoming A Man in Hanover Park. The course was launched on Tuesday 18 June at the Hanover Park Library. It is hoped that through the course young boys will acquire some much-needed life skills such as identity, dealing with coming of age issues, signs of puberty and how to deal with it and internet, how to treat girls and women, and social media use. The group made up of Saugheegh Johaar,
Rafiq Noordien, Yaseenn Johaar, Nizaam Abdol, Tougheed Esau and Yagyah Nasiep plans to have two sessions in Hanover Park before rolling out the course to other areas according to community needs. Nasiep, a professional Islamic studies facilitator and a youth leader, said the course will be run at Hanover Park Library. The seven-day course is aimed at young boys between the ages of nine and 14. Nasiep said the course is divided into different subjects and they deal with matters according to age. “We do some fun activities in between,” he said. He added that topics such as puberty are not usually spoken about in homes with boys.
Nasiep said the course will provide a platform for boys to express themselves about the changes they experience in their bodies. “You find out that boys did not have conversations with their fathers about coming of age. Some were surprised when they experienced it through wet dreams,” he explained. Nasiep called on all the parents to bring their children into the course even if they are not Muslim. “As much as it is not a Muslim course we are, however, guided by ethos, morals and values of Islam because they are universal,” Nasiep said. He said when boys finish the course, the relationship between them and the course facilitator should not die.
“We have an open-door policy with them that they can always approach us anytime. We want to be accessible to them,” he said. Keegan Rossouw (12) and Zuhair Lowis (14) are some of the boys who are part of the course. They say they are enjoying it, especially because Yagyah is a good teacher. The pair has vowed to keep the teachings from the course and become good men. “They taught us that a real man is kind, true, honest and hardworking,” says Keegan. He says he wants to follow in the footsteps of his father who passed on, who he says he was a real and good man. He says he wants to make his mother proud because she sacrifices a lot for him.

ARTS
Irma’s painting goes on auction A
n evocative Irma Stern painting that was bought from the artist and paid in monthly instalments by a young actress as a gift for her father 80 years ago, and owned by her family ever since, makes its first appearance on the open market The Old Mutual Conference Centre, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 July. This is an auction by The Stephan Welz & Co. The painting, Arab Dhows, was purchased in 1940 by Barbara Macleod for 12 guineas, which she paid to the artist – scrupulously, according to Irma Stern’s records – in four instalments. The work will be auctioned at the Constantia based Fine Art and Design Auctioneers with an estimated value of R700 000 to R900 000. Stern (1894 - 1966) painted Arab Dhows in 1939 at the start of what is regarded as her golden period. According to a statement, this was marked by intense productivity during the 1940s when she spent much of her time in Zanzibar and became energised and excited by the exotic life she encountered there. “She was particularly enthralled by Arab Dhows and the exotic goods their traders brought to the region. The painting was part of a 1940 exhibition in Johannesburg where Ms Macleod bought the work for her father, Lewis Rose Macleod, then editor of the Rand Daily Mail, which went on to become a strong voice in opposition to apartheid,” read the statement.
Rare, intimate portraits Other works likely to attract strong interest from collectors include two watercolours and a hand-written letter by Lady Anne Barnard (1750 – 1825). This fiercely independent Scottish aristocrat came to the Cape of Good Hope in 1797 as the wife of the Colonial Sec-
retary of the Cape Colony. Her African adventures, recorded in her diaries, drawings and paintings, became legendary. “The two, 220 year old watercolours give us a rare glimpse into the lives of individual women from the under classes of the Cape Colony at the end of the 18th century, and they have been brought to life through ground-breaking new research by historian Tracey Randle who has managed to trace their origins and possible identities by digging deep into the archives,” the statement went on to say. The paintings on auction, titled Black Madonna and Khoi Woman, are intimate depictions of a young slave woman, known as Theresa, nursing the infant of her master, Jacob van Reenen, and of a woman dressed in Irma Stern’s Arab Dhows will be going under the hammer. the regal sheep skin cloak and beaded adornment of a Khoi chieftain- nard to Henry Dundas in 1801. striking being his Head of an African Woman with its predominantly blue colouring. From 1963 to the mid 1970s, Sekoto repeatedly painted what became known as his ‘blue heads’, a series of busts primarily of women, most frequently with the use of a blue palette. Before he began painting his first blue heads, Sekoto produced a ballpoint pen on paper sketch of Miriam Makeba, universally acclaimed as the Queen of African Song. The pen drawing of Makeba features the same composition as Sekoto’s blue heads, raising the possibility that it may have been the inspiration for his blue head paintings of African women. Sekoto wrote of his practice of painting the blue heads that he wanted to express the beauty of the women of his own race, as opposed to the white female beauties that he felt were so abundantly portrayed by artists throughout history. Head of an African Woman will be on auction with an estimated value of R600 000 to R900 000. Viewings for this auction will take place from Friday 28 until Sunday 30 June at 10:00 to 17:00 with the jewellery being packed away at 16:30. A walkabout with Anton Welz will be on Saturday 29 June at 11:00. V For more information, visit www.stephanwelzandco.co.za or contact 021 794 6461 or e-mail stephanwelz@stephanwelzandco.co.za.

Deadline looms for applicants P
rospective Stellenbosch University (US) students have until Sunday 30 June to get their applications in if they want to study at the university. Maties, as it is affectionately known, is often rated as one of the top three universities in South Africa according to various international university rankings. The university also has one of the highest first-year throughput rates in South Africa with more than 85% of the students annually going forward to their second year of studies. “We are very excited about the number and quality of applications for 2020, proving
that US is a first choice university. We are, however, still concerned about the more than 8000 applications that are incomplete and as a result, cannot be considered,” says Doctor Celeste Nel, director of the Centre for Admission and Residence Placement. “Prospective students are requested to get their applications in rather sooner than later to give themselves some space and time to complete the application that includes uploading the necessary documents and to make changes if necessary.” Nel states that the general reasons for an incomplete application may be that the stu-

HANOVER PARK
A tour with an educational touch SIPHESIHLE NOTWABAZA @SihleMusic
A
group of young boys and girls from in and around Hanover Park embarked on a five-day Youth Safety Religious programme tour between Monday 17 and Friday 21 June. The children visited various spots around Cape Town including the Edith Stevens Nature Reserve, Constantia Hiking Nek, Macassar and Faure Kramat. The outing was organised by the Madrassah_Tul_Badelieyah (MTB), a non-profit organisation (NPO) operating in the area. The NPO does a variety of empowerment programmes for the youth and those include religious studies. Adlija Holt, project manager at MTB, said they partnered with the Department of Community Safety for the outing. She said the event gave the youth an opportunity to learn, explore and have fun. The People’s Post team caught up with them at Edith Stevens where they were grouped, played games and did face painting. They were also taught about nature and plants. Holt hailed the programme for attracting scores of young people, with 65 children turning up instead of the 35 initially scheduled to attend. “As much as this is not what we planned for, we cannot chase anyone away because this is for them,” she explained. She called on youngsters to grow and de-

community upliftment projects and urged parents to play their part in shaping their children.“We have to be good role models to our children. We need to have home programmes because organisations and schools cannot do this (disciplining children) alone,” she appealed. Akeelah Francis (13), Liam Demas (13) and Azhar Johaadien (12) said they are grateful to MTB for organising the programme. “I enjoyed the tour, I had lots of fun. I want to tell people that MTB is the best. I wish they do more excursions for us,” expressed Azhar. The Newfields Grade 7 learner said those
who are not part of the tour missed out. For Akeelah the highlight was when they went to the Hiking Nek. She said she felt at peace and the fact that they were outdoors was the cherry on top.“We also went to a dam, washed our faces and also crossed a bridge. I enjoyed those a lot,” she said. She called for more excursions to take children out of Hanover Park. She says living in her area is nice but her desperate wish is for gangsterism to end and for them to realise their potential.“I want to have a bright future and become a teacher because I like to explain and work with children,” she expressed.

Things turn sour at stadium NOMZAMO YUKU @NomzamoYuku
T
he tenants that resisted evictions at the Athlone Stadium lost their case against the City of Cape Town at the Western Cape High Court on Friday 21 June. The matter was taken to court following the tenant’s alleged ignorance of the last notice issued by the City of Cape Town. The notice stated that tenants were expected to vacate the stadium by Saturday 15 June, but it was later extended to last Wednesday. However, some of the tenants failed to obey, leading to them being locked out last Thursday. According to reports they spent the afternoon outside the entrance on Hickory Road. One of the tenants Granville Carlson, CEO of Sunrise Records, says the ruling was unfair and would be appealed with the help of an anonymous donor that has offered to cover their legal fees. “I told the judge it was the law versus human being. Basically, they are evicting non-profit organisations, disappointing 100 000 youth,” Carlson says. Since the last article (“Eviction worrisome,” People’s Post, 4 June) about eight tenants were still on the premises, and Cape Music Institute (CMI) and Cotton and Stitch have since moved out. Among the remaining are Sunrise, Itheko Sports Management, South African Football Association Cape Town (Safa CT) and Prime Logistic Solutions who have been renting suites on the second and third floors of the stadium since 2015.“The judgement says we all should vacate the stadium and we will need to reapply for new leases,” Carlson says. As claimed before, in a statement, anoth-
er tenant, Noore Nacerodien, the chairperson for Cape Town Softball Association and a member for the United Coalition for Sport and Community Based Organisations, says no timeous notice was given by the City nor had shown a clear plan about the future of the stadium. Nacerodien said: “The stadium holds so much history, yet the city has become ignorant of it. In February, the Mayor [Dan] Plato stated that ‘no tenant would be evicted’.” He says the coalition would meet and discuss a way forward. Tenants previously blamed the executive director for economic opportunities and asset management, Kelcy Le Keur for persistently ordering they leave despite Plato’s promises. Le Keur issued a statement (“Stadium closed for maintenance,” People’s Post, 21 May) announcing the last notice. Following the court’s decision, Le Keur insisted that the City had engagements with occupants“Contrary to what has been perpetuated in the media, the City has continually and actively been engaging since November 2018, with the affected parties for all non-operational stadium occupants to meet the necessary compliance issues in order to ensure the continual operation of the stadium,” Le Keur said. She says the implications of the non-compliance, such as the shutting down of the stadium and the impact on the broader community, were highlighted in every engagement with the occupants, including the administrative arm of SAFA Cape Town. She says the refusal of a few occupants to comply has led to the shut-down of the facility last Thursday.

anenberg Centre of Islamic Information and Education got almost triple the number of people they expected to attend their holiday programme. This holistic initiative, aimed at providing safety for children during the mid-year school holiday, was prepared to accommodate 70 children a day but ended up with
safety, gangsterism, spirituality and religion, life skills and career guidance. One of the organisers Sameeg Norodien says the huge numbers are a sign of a positive impact these kinds of programmes have in the community. He says it shows that more needs to be done for the children. “We started in June last year and we are shocked at the numbers. We received a budget of R60 per child for 10 days and we now have to stretch that for all of them, it’s
so tough,” says Norodien. He says it is not only the minors that come through but people up to the age of 27 attend. He says it is through the help of the community and a few donors that they could provide meals and offer turns to participate in the games.“It is through unity and partnerships that we can make an impact in our community. If we can bring hope in just a year one can only imagine what we may achieve in future if we carry on like this,” Norodien says.
Exam readiness for learners With only over 100 days to go until the start of the 2019 National Senior Certificate (NCS) examinations, Grade 12 learners from schools all over the province will attend the Winter Schools programme. This programme, initiated by the provincial department of education, is to ensure that candidates are prepared for the exams. The programme aims to assist learners in high enrolment subjects such as mathematics, physical science, geography, life science, accounting and economics.
the area are undergoing an intensive revision programme ahead of the 2019 NSC examination period. “This Winter School is just one of the many that the department is running across the province to ensure that our Grade 12 learners are well prepared for the upcoming exams,” Schäfer said. She said that she was pleased to see learners making use of the opportunities the department has provided to assist them in preparing for their final exams. “It was also a pity that some who were scheduled to come did not bother. We can only create opportunities, but people need to take them up,” she said. Many of the programmes on offer are taught by tutors selected by the department. “I am extremely encouraged to see the commitment of so many learners to improve their results with a phenomenal number of learners attending Winter Schools across the province,” Schäfer said.
Helping hand for learners The department has initiated a number of targeted and sustained interventions at schools across the province, which include a Winter Schools Programme and Winter Camps for matrics. Provincial minister for education Debbie Schäfer visited the programme at the Salt River Secondary School where about 500 Grade 12 learners from four high schools in

HANOVER PARK
Ready to host boxing tournament SIPHESIHLE NOTWABAZA @SihleMusic
T
he Hanover Park Boxing Academy is wrapping up preparations for its upcoming boxing tournament on Saturday 29 June. The tournament is making a return after its inauguration last year and will once again cater for boxers on different levels based on their experience. Igshaan Nazier, organiser and manager for the academy, said while the event is about sport, the plan is to unite the community despite all the criminal challenges. “This is one of our ways to claim our space from the gangsters who are trying to take over,” he expressed.
Nazier said the aim of the event is not purely about competing but about partaking in a community event for the residents. “The event is not about winning, it is not about medals, it is about getting involved in a community project. It is about families and the community working together All those who will participate will get medals for partaking,” he explained. Despite the fact that the event will be hosted in Hanover Park, Nazier explained that all interested individuals are welcome to enter. He also added there used to be women who would take part in the boxing. He said if there are some who are interested, they should feel free to enter. “Last year we had females, this year they
dropped. We encourage them to come back,” he added. His message to the community is for people to remain positive even though there are a lot of criminal activities that are happening. He said there are a lot of inspiring and positive stories in the community, and people need to focus on them. “In our academy, we have 17 boys who are ex-gangster members, they are training to take part in the event,” he revealed. He thanked the City of Cape Town for the support and added there are a lot of good people out there despite the bad that is happening. The area’s ward councillor Antonio van der Rheede said he would be attending the event. He said the tournament is designed
to change the narrative that Hanover Park is a gangsters’ den. He said the tournament will serve as an inspiration for the children in the area that boxing is a sport one can pursue which can take them somewhere. “I encourage parents to allow their children to enter. Boxing helps in instilling discipline and also helps to get rid of anger. Our children have anger issues,” he stated. About the City’s financial support for the tournament, he said he is glad they could help where the help is needed. “I am proud to be supporting this tournament. It is to show the children that they can make it in life, because in our area we have a Metro Champion,” said van der Rheede . V For more information call Nazier on 021 690 8099.
WCCPA pays tribute to a medical pioneer
Trees that will be planted.
Sports facilities go green with new trees City of Cape Town sport facilities are first on the list for going green, after the City’s Recreation and Parks Department launched a special Large Tree Planting Project leading up to Arbor Month in September. The City’s nursery in Newlands has resumed tree planting for the first time since 2016. In recent years, the horticultural sector was hamstrung by the severe drought and the accompanying water restrictions. This included a prohibition on irrigation of trees, resulting in a drastic reduction in the number of trees the department was able to plant. Mayco member for community services and health Zahid Badroodien said the upside is that the tree stock in the nursery increased and over time the trees in the controlled environment grew bigger and taller. “The nursery was able to sustain the plants through borehole water. “These trees are now the ideal planting stock as the more established a tree is when planted, the greater its chances of survival in the natural environment. Larger trees also have an immediate visual impact when planted in an area without trees, displaying their ability to transform any landscape overnight,” he said. A total of 600 large trees, valued at about R1.2m are being planted over a six-month period. This will create jobs for an additional 10 Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP ) workers, who will undergo specialised training and development. Both indigenous and non-invasive exotic trees will be planted across the city at sports fields with alternative water sources available for irrigation. Sports fields were selected as the prima-
ry target, due to the positive change newly planted trees can make to the appearance of many fields that are still in recovery. Planting at the Southfield Sports field started a few weeks ago. “We celebrate the department being able to plant trees again. The value of trees cannot be underestimated, as it offers a myriad of social and environmental benefits. “The City, therefore, calls on all residents to help preserve these precious assets, and to support tree planting while remaining mindful of our limited water resources,” said Badroodien. The Recreation and Parks Department encourages the public to get involved in taking care of newly planted trees by following these smart watering guidelines: . Deep watering: deep watering prevents weak surface roots from forming and encourages the growth of robust roots underground. . Check soil moisture: soil should be moist but not wet. . Conserve water while preserving trees: make provision for watering trees during water restrictions, by conserving water in other areas of your home and garden. . Watch out for signs of drought stress: check for leaves wilting, yellowing, curling or browning at the edges . Use mulch to help conserve moisture: cover the soil with a three to five-inch layer of mulch. . Use safe pesticides: stick to organic, environmentally friendly pesticides . Be mindful of the water-scarce region: the city is currently on level 3b water “recovery” restrictions V Read more about level 3b water “recovery” restrictions on http://www.capetown.gov.za/thinkwater

Kudos to employees at Wynberg drop off This is an open letter to the City of Cape Town officials and to the residents of Cape Town. This afternoon Friday 31 May, I was at the Wynberg Drop Off site off Rosmead Avenue. The first thing that struck me was that the manager Mr Daniels who I have come to know very well, standing at the gate with his security and his staff checking vehicles bringing in waste and recyclable goods. I drove to the top where vehicles offload their waste into huge bins. While offloading I had a bird’s eye view and saw how neat how well managed and well the staff did their duties. Each person was busy with their duties and helping very satisfied residents. The recycle department ran like a well-oiled Rolls Royce engine under the dedicated professional and passionate care of a lady called Chandre who I also came to know very well. I decided to, from my high
perch, take pictures to enhance my letter. As I was busy I was told that the two Waste Drop-off depots at Woodstock and Retreat have closed and this left me totally mystified, with so much dirt and illegal dumping one would think more Waste Drop-off sites would litter the City to deal with illegal dumping and create employment in the recycling business. I could then only hope that the planned Waste Drop-off site for Parkwood would speed up to compensate for the alleged closure of the Retreat Waste Drop-off site and if true what is plan B never mind A for the alleged closure of the Woodstock site. I would strongly recommend the City with the wisdom of Solomon called upon Mr Daniels and Chandre as consultants on how to manage and drive a Waste Drop-off site. KEITH BLAKE Ottery
Thank you councillor Oliver On 26 April I sent a WhatsApp message to councillor Monty Oliver with pictures of my blocked drain in the road and stressed that our area towards Ottery Gardens is prone to flooding during the winter. Oliver and his office secretary Mrs Elsabe Turner have once again proved their commitment to service delivery and to address issues and complaints sent to their office. What makes this work is their policy of communication to the ward residents like myself. This morning (Thursday 23 May) my wife said there are people busy in our road and my granddaughter and I went outside and here was a team cleaning out the drains. Thank you councillor Oliver and Mrs Turner. KEITH BLAKE Ottery
So I noticed that as the state of the nation address (Sona) was shared on social media, it was more about what people were wearing on the red carpet. I wonder if anyone even listened to what the president had to say? This is probably the most important speech. It tells us what we need to know about the way forward. Even if it is all pipe dreams, it is something that we can use to hold him and his government accountable. What the president wears and what the rest of them wear is all the rage but it only detracts from the importance of it, and in fact, it makes it somewhat a joke. I suppose Julius and his crew have the right idea. The red gear stands out but it is a constant and by now we are used to it. You don’t see them prancing in designer gowns or suits. Maybe moving forward, as public servants, the members of parliament should join their police, army and rescue service counterparts in wearing a uniform to these meetings. That way we can all focus on what is said and not what is worn. LEWIS PETERSEN Email

As president Ramaphosa noted, economic growth and increased employment must be the focus of government at the moment, and neither of these can occur without massive new investment in South Africa, so it was a relief to hear several statements that will hopefully reassure both local and foreign investors that the country is still on the right track under his leadership. The president made it very clear, for example, that the independence of the Reserve Bank, as enshrined in Section 224 of the constitution, will not be undermined. He also outlined very specific measures to deal with violent crime, which is currently driving many highly skilled people to leave and cause a brain drain that SA really cannot afford. And he announced that the NPA (National Prosecuting Authority) has now been tasked with an asset seizure plan to start recovering the billions of rands stolen by corrupt public officials over the past few years. Ramaphosa also did not avoid the question of land expropriation without compensation but provided an assurance that while land reform is to be accelerated, this will be done according to a comprehensive plan that will shortly be drawn up by the cabinet.
In the meanwhile, government is to speed up the identification and allocation of state-owned land close to the metropolitan areas for smart residential developments and small-scale farming, and we believe this could provide the breakthrough needed to realise the National Development Plan goal of eliminating informal settlements – and adding millions of new homeowners to the formal property market. According to the General Household Survey just released by StatsSA, 2.1 million of SA’s 16.7 million households currently live in informal homes, compared to 15 million out of 11.2 million households in 2002, so the development of state-provided housing has clearly not kept pace with growth in the number of households. But greater co-operation between the public sector, which will provide the land, and the private sector, which will provide the expertise and the labour, could well solve this problem, especially if the housing subsidies that already exist are made more accessible to low-income buyers. The plan will have the added benefit of creating additional employment in the construction industry. And since the health of real estate market is highly dependent on both consumer confidence and employment
growth, we also welcome all the other plans government has put in motion to create additional employment with the limited public funds at its disposal, and the assistance of labour, business and civil society. These include the revitalisation of labour-intensive industrial sectors, the development of more agri-businesses, intensified marketing to double foreign tourist numbers to 21 million a year by 2030, and the re-launch of the Buy-South African campaign. Like many others, however, we are very concerned at the plans to accelerate the appropriation of the R230bn needed to bail out Eskom over the next 10 years. This will take more money out of the pockets of consumers, many of whom are already battling to make ends meet, and further limit their ability to pay rent, save for a deposit or qualify for a loan to buy their own home. A reliable power supply is, of course, essential for the economy to grow, but we believe that government should be looking to phase out coal powered electricity and replace it with renewables from private sector providers as soon as possible, for the sake of the planet as well as the economy. Voters expect leadership with integrity
We need more cops
For the first time since 1994, many voted with much uncertainty, reservation and trepidation. I know that there are good people within many organisations, but I also know that there are stalwarts, that have long reached their expiry date and create more harm than good and no longer have the energy levels, motivation, inspiration and vision that they once had. Instead, arrogance and self-interest replaced integrity, especially as it filters down to ward councillors, municipalities etcetera, where accountability and performance aren’t monitored or supervised, and null and void. In broad context and in general, DA governance was once renowned and comprised astute, educated people, regardless of creed or culture. There used to be leadership where work ethic was once an imperative and indelible part of the organisations structure, ethos and governance. Humanitarian scruples, determination, tenacity and self-discipline formed an intricate part of the DA’s organisational
Why are our kids dying in the streets? Why do we as parents and grandparents need to bury our children. They are supposed to be the future of our country, but they are dying. I read so often on social media and in the newspapers about youngsters being killed because of the choices they make, but recently, there has also been an increase in children dying because they were just in the wrong place or mistaken identity. I am very concerned that our police service is not adequate or prepared for the “war” going on in the streets. We hear so much about the new teams they deploy and the new plans they have, but the bottom line is the Cape Flats needs more police. They need to be better trained and equipped. Gone should be the day when we wait hours for police to respond. Our youth are dying and we need to act. We need to do something before it is too late. We should not have to live in fear. PIPPA WILLIAMS Mitchell’s Plain
structure, where the belief in the parties ethos and cause was cemented and cast in stone, i.e that SA belonged to all South Africans regardless of creed or culture and building a new South African society was in the future of all “Born Frees” including good governance, leadership with integrity and standards of anti-corruption Today people join politics because it’s an investment to a great salary, pension, medical aid, travel and many wonderful perks all at the expense of the taxpayer. Many who voted for a DA Western Cape Governance, will be mindfully watching, observing and expecting the winds of change to sweep through the ranks of those that govern the Western Cape (again). Accountability and measurable performance evaluation of leaders in every facet of the governmental sphere of leadership, management, supervisory and work ethic are of paramount importance. This is going be a night to remember,” says Cecilia Hume, editor of TygerBurger.“This is a fantastic opportunity to dance and have fun with your favourite Suidooster stars,” says Elouise Matthys, public relations and promotions manager of GrandWest.
A few need-to-knows . To ensure your throat is wet and stomach filled following all those dance
moves, be sure to visit the two foodtrucks and three cashbars inside the venue. Remember to bring along some cash since only some of these will have card facilities. . If you need to take a breather between your two-stepping, there will be ample seating provided. . On the subject of feet, ladies, while you may feel the urge to make a fashion statement in those stunning stiletoes, rather opt for something that will have you comfortably dancing well into the next morning. You’ll look just as great in a pair of kicks. . While security will be prominent at the event, some opportunists are willing to pay for their long fingers to make an even bigger profit, so ladies pack light. Leave those handbags at home and rather dance along with a trendy small slingbag that you can keep safely with you. Just play safe and make sure not to hit your neighbour on the dancefloor. Not a lady or dont have a small bag, opt for a jacket with zip-pockets instead. . And finally, the most important tip of all, get those tickets and come have a blast with us. We are looking forward to seeing and learning those dance moves.
