POPS Chairman Emeritus Sal DeBunda, a colleague of Steve at Archer & Greiner, helped introduce the Mignognas to the POPS through the firm’s sponsorship. They loved the concerts right away.
“From the Board of Directors’ perspective, it’s amazing how much the POPS does to support the community,” Steve says. “I see on-the-ground efforts that the leaders of the Board have made in POPS in Schools and the Salute Series. The Board has a genuine commitment to those causes.”
Lesley was born in the Bronx in New York City, but has made South Jersey her home. She has a master’s degree in nursing from Widener University and is a music lover who played piano and clarinet as a child. Steve is a lifelong resident of this region. He attended Saint Joseph’s University and went to law school at Rutgers. He has spent his career at Archer & Greiner where he serves as both the Co-Chair of the firm’s Estates and Trusts Department and Chair of the Estate and Trust Litigation Group. Following in Steve’s footsteps, their daughter Stephanie attends Rutgers Law School. Their daughter Alexis is studying musical theater at Saint Joseph’s University. Both daughters enjoy attending POPS shows.
“We love living in South Jersey, but take advantage of everything the city has to offer,” Lesley says. They have season tickets to the Phillies, Flyers, and 76ers, as well as a Broadway Philadelphia subscription. They especially enjoy the energy of the POPS and its wide appeal.
The Mignognas enjoy traveling domestically and abroad (after next year, Lesley will have visited five continents!) and supporting local causes, including their church, various educational institutions (including family scholarships), Joseph’s House of Camden (which provides services and shelter to homeless men and women) and the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation (ARVF), which supports teenagers with cancer. They also support a variety of causes through Archer & Greiner’s charitable and community projects.
Favorite Shows: “I loved Sinatra, anything with the BIG Band, and Jazz,” Lesley says. Steve particularly enjoys programs that highlight The Beatles, Sinatra, and POPS Rock.
Lesley is excited for this weekend’s Aretha show and this spring’s Sondheim program. Steve is looking forward to POPS Rocks Phil Collins.
