PROGRAM INFORMATION Take a front row seat in the comfort of your home for this star-studded performance, featuring world-renowned Tony, Emmy, & Grammy award-winning singer and actress Cynthia Erivo, alongside The Philly POPS Presents Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia, led by Terell Stafford. Stafford serves as Artistic Director for Jazz of the The Philly POPS, as well as Managing and Artistic Director of the The Philly POPS Presents Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia. The Philly POPS Presents Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia will accompany Cynthia Erivo as she performs selections from her Legendary Women’s Voices program. Celebrate the strengths of womanhood as Erivo gives voice to the music made famous by the greatest female singers of all time. A high-energy set from hitmaker, multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter, producer, actor and dancer, Jason Derulo will follow. The concert is broadcast live on NBC10 from the historic Met Philadelphia on the Independence Blue Cross Stage.

SPECIAL GUESTS Cynthia Erivo Cynthia Erivo is a Tony®, Emmy® and Grammy® Award-winning actress, as well as Academy Award®, Golden Globe®, and SAG nominee. Erivo burst onto West End and Broadway stages in The Color Purple, and has since taken the big screen by storm, most recently as Harriet Tubman in Kasi Lemmons’ heralded biopic about the fearless heroine. Erivo currently stars on the HBO series The Outsider, which is going into its second season of production, and will be starring as the legendary Aretha Franklin in National Geographic’s Genius Anthology Series, expected late 2020.

Artistic Director for Jazz Terell Stafford serves as Managing and Artistic Director of the Jazz Orchestra of Philadelphia. An acclaimed trumpet player, Stafford’s exceptionally expressive and well-defined musical talent allows him to dance in and around the rich trumpet tradition of his predecessors while making his own inroads. He is Director of Jazz Studies and Chair of Instrumental Studies at Temple University.
