WHAT DOES RELAXED OR MODERATE MEAN? Whilst you must be physically and mentally fit to travel on our escorted holidays, there are certain destinations and styles of holidays that require a higher level of general fitness than others. To ensure that you are on the right holiday for you, it is important that you are honest with us and yourself. We do not want either you or other passengers to have a negative experience on their holiday. We are therefore categorising our holidays as either relaxed or moderate.

Relaxed

These tours can be as relaxed as you want. There may be options to do more if you wish however as long as you are physically and mentally fit, you should not experience any difficulties on these holidays.

Moderate

In certain countries like Europe and Asia in particular, there are certain environmental and structural differences that require a higher level of physical and mental fitness. These things include but are not limited to cobbled streets, queues, steps, heat, showers over a bath, and stepping on and off coaches. Cultural differences sometimes make food choices difficult when touring certain destinations. If you are aware of all these differences it helps create a more enjoyable experience for you and your fellow travellers. If you have a positive outlook and attitude you will find yourself immersed in different cultures, food, and places, taking home wonderful memories and new friends. If you are unsure of your general fitness, please come in and have a chat to one of our friendly staff and fill out a health and fitness form. Alternatively if you have any pressing concerns please consult your General Practitioner.

WHY CHOOSE KINGS?

OUR TOUR MANAGERS

We care about the small things that make a big difference. We understand our clients and in order for us to deliver a rewarding holiday to you, we ensure that we have caring and organised staff, products that suit you, suppliers that understand our business and efficient systems in place.

Our Tour Managers are a fundamental part of our business. They all go above and beyond and do their very best to ensure our tours are successful and our clients have an amazing experience.

We will organise private tailor-made holidays just for you. Using the same coordinated expertise and experience that we dedicate to our own tours, we will assist you in creating your own ideal holiday.

Our Tour Managers are carefully selected for their travel experience, organisational skills and caring approach to their role. Friendly and professional, they do their utmost to ensure your holiday is a successful and enjoyable one. We understand that not everyone feels they need to travel with a Tour Manager onboard however, it is the little things that they take care of which makes a huge difference. Our Tour Managers are on tour for the benefit of every client. They really are thinking of your comfort, your safety, your time and most of all your enjoyment and that is what makes travelling with Kings Tours so special.

I wanted to say a personal thanks to you and the team for all the wonderful things you organised for us on the Scandinavian Tour. One thing that left me with warm memories was the extra tour of the old village near Stockholm, charming us and saving a long, long wait at the airport. Reminded me of a trip we did with you years ago when our plane was diverted from Christchurch to Brisbane adding hours to our return journey. You organised a coach, city tour and afternoon tea to keep us entertained and happy. That’s Kings !!! J. McKernan

Thank you for a wonderful trip. The trip was made more memorable by our Tour Manager, the Kings private pick up and drop off transport, the little things along the way such as the lollies on board the coach, champagne high up in the mountains, the morning teas, the farewell dinner, and the package of snacks we received when we arrived home. And much more. It is easy to understand why people continue to use your services, it’s those little things that cost little but mean so much to travellers. Does it ever end what Kings do for their travellers? Thank you again and Kings will be the first on my mind when I choose to travel again. N. Butterworth

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN BOOKING A HOLIDAY

8

When planning our tours, the team at Kings Tours and Travel always have your comfort, safety and wellbeing as a priority therefore we have put together some important things to consider prior to booking your next holiday.

1800 677 760 (FREECALL) BOOK ONLINE AT WWW.KINGSTOURS.COM.AU

) MOBILITY All of our tours involve walking and some climbing of stairs. Unfortunately or fortunately, the world is not flat! Lifts are not always available. It is important that you can ascend and descend stairs unaided and without assistance unless you are travelling with a travelling companion/carer.

a AIRPORT ASSISTANCE Some airports are large and it can be quite a walk from check-in to the departure gate and vice versa. Do you need assistance to board an aircraft? If your answer is yes to this question please let us know before you depart so that we can request wheelchair assistance for you. It is the airline who provides the assistance and whilst the Kings Tour Manager is there to lead the group, it is the airline that will provide this service and airport assistance will be their responsibility.

M HEALTH Staying healthy is also important while on holidays so a checkup with your medical professional before you go away is always recommended and if anything has changed with your health please let us know so that we can pass on any relevant information.

O TRAVEL INSURANCE Travel Insurance is as essential as your passport, regardless of your travel destination. The cost of travel insurance is based on the type of cover requested, the age of the insured, the destination of travel, length of stay and any pre-existing medical conditions. A wide range of travel insurance policies are available and we will assist you in selecting the right one for you.

Z BAGGAGE You are required to manage your own luggage at airports. Porters and trolleys are not always available. Passengers might like to consider investing in a 4 wheel suitcase, which are light and easy to push.

d OUR TOUR MANAGERS Our Tour Managers are on tour for the benefit of every client and they are not to be used as a personal carer. If you require personalised service and more one on one assistance, please do not hesitate to discuss this with us in case we can make arrangements for you. On all tours, a minimum number of passengers is required in order for a Tour Manager to escort the tour.

T HELP US HELP YOU If you have any personal or physical constraints that may restrict you in managing your holiday on your own, you must advise us at the time of booking so we can make your holiday more comfortable. We will then confirm whether the suppliers can accommodate your special requests/ meal requirements and any other special needs. Many of our suppliers and airlines need this information very early in the booking process and at times, additional paper work has to be completed. We believe there are holidays for everyone and by us asking a few questions about special requirements and capabilities of you the traveller(s), together we can ensure you have a great holiday. Most importantly Travel is Magical and it should be enjoyed so careful planning from the start is always the way to do it and who better to help you than Kings Tours and Travel. We have been creating dream holidays since 1986 and we pride ourselves on what we can offer our clients.

TRAVELLING ALONE? DON'T WORRY. About a third of people travel alone. We will match people in twin accommodation / cabins when available, saving you money. You won’t be left alone, the Kings Tour Manager will be looking after you. There will be group activities almost every day.

WEST SIDE STORY Opera on Sydney Harbour

5 DAYS, 26 TO 30 MARCH 2019

In 2019, West Side Story takes the iconic stage at Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour. Raise a glass as the sun sets and drink in the view as you share a meal in one of the pop-up bars and restaurants on site.

20

Then sit back to enjoy the enthralling show, complete with live orchestra hidden beneath the dramatic stage and fireworks in the balmy night air. On the mean streets of New York's West Side, two rival gangs strut their stuff. But when a Jet falls for a Shark, the stage is set for a rumble. Their wistful love story is studded with infectious songs including 'Somewhere', 'Maria', 'I Feel Pretty', 'America', 'Cool' and of course, 'Tonight'. Encounter the wildness of youth and ecstasy of love as this modern day Romeo and Juliet unfolds under a starlit sky. The production steers away from the more serious Operas of years past on this stage. It will be a truly entertaining evening of fun and spectacle.

LORD HOWE ISLAND 9 DAYS, 3 TO 11 APRIL 2019

Lord Howe Island is located 702 km north east of Sydney and directly east of Port Macquarie. It is, by any measure, an exceptionally beautiful holiday destination which has become one of those secrets that visitors prefer to keep to themselves. The island is crescent shaped and is 11 km long and 2.8 km wide. It covers a total area of 1455 hectares and there is a coral reef which runs for 6 km down the western side of the island enclosing a lagoon. The shape of the island, as the famous travel writer Jan Morris once observed, is 'some sort of a sea scorpion, with the two high mountains at its southern end representing the sting in the tail.

& South African Cruise 47 DAYS, 24 JANUARY TO 10 MARCH 2020

Like a ray of sunshine, the Sun Princess is a ship that beams with good vibes, giving all who sail on her a cheery disposition. While the destinations she visits on this cruise are spectacular, you’ll have just as much fun onboard. At night you can catch a live show at the theater or a movie on the giant screen on the pool deck. During the day the sports court is the place to work up a sweat, and the two pools are the place to cool off. Don’t forget the flavorful food available at the Sun Princess’ buffet, dining rooms and other restaurants onboard.
