She is a two-time Best-Selling author of books, “Finding Joy in The Journey” and Joy Comes in The Morning” She coauthored the soon-to-be-released anthology Joy 365 A Devotional For Joy Restoration Dr Neely has been featured in Time Square three times, and she’s also been featured in various magazines. Dr. Barbara is an Ambassador for Black Family Magazine and hosts Reignite with Dr Barb” on the Rethink Network Dr Neely has lived as a military spouse for 19 years and understands the challenges and what it takes to live as a military spouse Barbara is passionate about helping other women rise from the ashes of life and helping them discover their God-given talents

What inspired you to become a Board Certified Esthetician and open Mamas Brown Sugar? My love and passion for skincare inspired me to become an esthetician

I offer various skincare products that treat acne, anti-aging, and dark spots, to name a few things I offer products from my own brand, “Mamas Brown Sugar In addition, I offer professional products to work alongside clients’ facial treatments. I also offer professional facial and body services

In your opinion, what is the secret to healthy skin? I believe healthy skin starts from within Whatever you put in your body or on it will show up on your face and skin, so it’s important to choose fruits, vegetables and drink lots of water to keep your skin hydrated

If you could tribute your success to anyone in your life, who would it be?

I would accredit my success to my parents because growing up, I saw them work hard and get pretty creative In turning little into much Both of my parents had creative gifts and talents, which I now carry. They never got to see the things they were gifted to do come to fruition, so I now carry the torch

What advice do you have for someone who wants to become an esthetician?

I would say to love what you do and don’t be afraid to do the things you love Don’t be afraid of failing and starting again Let the thoughts and criticism of others roll off your back and stay focused on your goals

What is your definition of a Pretty Woman Who Hustles?

My definition would be a woman that is fearless She does not allow the opinions of others to stop or get in her way. She is not afraid of failing. She puts in the time to create a legacy that will live on long after she is gone www
