
Her journey here began January 31, 1934 in Lincoln County, Chandler, Ok. She was the eldest of 7 children born to Catherine Lucas CoffeeWarren and Woodie Coffee her parents, two sisters & four brothers preceded her in death.
Claressa attended Lincoln District 72, grades 1-8, and Douglass High School, Chandler, Okla. Graduating in 1951. She went on to Langston University, where she graduated in 1955, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education.

Claressa united with the Church of the Living God and was baptized on 9th and Phillips, by Bishop J.C. Scott. She remained a member until her demise.
Claressa married Herman Y. Christian and to this union two children were born, Michael Duane & Rhonda Rochelle.
Claressa worked for Garden Oaks Elementary School, Streets Department Store, and ended her career at Tinker Airforce Base, with 31 years of service. While at Tinker, she was a member of Toastmaster’s and received her Competent (CTM) Certificate in Communication and Leadership. She was Director for The Federal Women’s Program, and Editor of the Tinker Management Newsletter. She retired in August 1989 as a Quality Assurance Specialist Supervisor.
She loved her family and people in general. She was always willing to help the elderly, taking them to the store, post office or any place they needed to go. She used to say, “This is part of my Christian walk!”
She leaves to mourn her passing one daughter Rhonda R. Barrientez, one son Michael D. Christian (Theresa), one granddaughter Andre’a R. Barrientez, Four grandsons Andre’ R. Barrientez, Dennis W. Christian, Richard A. Christian, Justin D. Christian (Karie), two great grandchildren Maya & Aaron, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of Church members & friends.
