She leaves to cherish her fond memories: her daughter, Leonette Hunter Solomon; adopted daughter, Katie Peasby; grandsons, Arturio Hunter and Byron Hunter; granddaughter, Aaliyah Hunter; her sister, Ruthie Fisher; her brother, James Livingston of Houston, TX; her longtime significant other, Herman McGee, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Luberta worked for Seagate Technology up until her retirement. Later in life she decided to become a foster parent. She was loved and cherished by Open Arms Foster Care and many other agencies throughout the years. She provided unconditional love and care to her children.
Her hobbies were shopping, spending time with family and living life to the fullest. She was very spunky and loved to dance.
She attended the Oklahoma City Public School System where she had the pleasure of being a “Mighty Trojan” with the Douglass High School Class of 1968 and furthered her education with Rose State College, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Luberta was baptized at a very young age and along with her other siblings. She was ten (10) years old when she and her family moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Luberta Levingston was born on November 23, 1949 and raised in Lawton, Oklahoma as the youngest child of Nathaniel Levingston and Elizabeth James Livingston.
Luberta was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, caregiver and a great friend. She was always warm and welcoming to her kids, grandkids and friends. She was known as a second mother and grandmother to many.
