MORE STUPID RULES... So, now the Town of Cambridge have banned verge pickups and are now telling everyone they have to get a skip bin. Who made that one up? The skip bin company? Well how good is that going to look having skip bins on every verge? Having big trucks going up and down your street picking up skip bins? Have you ever tried to get a sofa into a skip bin? And what happened to recycling? One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, remember? Isn’t this what we are all aiming for… trying to reuse and repurpose items so we can help the planet? I believe verge pick ups are brilliant – they’re good for everyone – people trying to get rid of things they don’t need, and people finding things that they do need, but maybe can’t afford to buy. And let’s watch what happens now – one council has done it, so now all the other councils will follow, like sheep, and so much

good furniture will end up in landfill. It’s really quite frightening these days how we are all being so regulated, and if we don’t stand up and fight these decisions, it will go too far and any individualism will be lost. Nothing seems to follow logic anymore and there is no consistency to anything. The State Government are
