The event committee has been hard at work to ensure that all attendees have a fun and memorable experience this weekend. We are grateful to have a match staff comprised of many talented and knowledgeable people who have generously volunteered their time to make this event possible. In addition to our cookout, we have a new activity planned for Saturday afternoon and evening—the “22 Extreme” side match. All competitors who participate in this side match will be entered into a drawing to win a Tactical Solutions rifle. The product demo range will also be open for participants and their families to try out our attending sponsors’ latest gear, providing additional entertainment for all in attendance. One key element that makes NSSF Rimfire Challenge events so special is the level of industry support behind them. As a student with experience in the shooting sports, you are well equipped to help your friends, classmates and faculty learn about target shooting and firearm safety. Just as other students and adult leaders have done, you can help start a shooting club at your college or the college in your local area. The National Shooting Sports Foundation, which developed programs like the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP), provides resources through its Collegiate Shooting Sports Initiative. NSSF offers $100,000 in grants, expertise and contacts with coaches and others in the collegiate target shooting community. Many schools now have shooting clubs. With your help, your college can too.
