Idea behind the Arches

The arch is the feature and facade of Redhill close

It is a classical architecture element

If tapered at the end, It creates a structure like stalactites Source : Tama Art University Library by Toyo Ito


Layering of the arches allows for the easy navigation and also the organic shape creates a seamless transition through the spaces Source : Tarumi House by Tomohiro Hata

The organic shape of an arch allows for a softer edge to a space and also makes lighting less harsh

Arches also creates zones in a multi functional room, breaking the a big space into multiple rooms while maintaining visual connection

Exploration of how louvres can work on a wall with the effect of sun path


The use of louvres with the application of a green wall. Possible to be applied on the facade of one of the building on the ground oor.


The use of ventilation blocks on a wall allows for natural ventilation and some light to pass through.

Full length glass can allow for natural light to pass through, but also giving people within the space less privacy


Full length mirror with some areas covered allows for some privacy to the space.
