Ever since I was a little, my dad used to bring me books and magazines every day. It built my interest in design, color, layout, and illustration. When I saw how it came together in printed goods, it always makes me excited. I started learning graphic design through online courses and I love to challenge myself to learn something new about design. I am a “learning-by-doing� type of person. I start simple to keep the project moving forward and build it along the way to make it better. I always give my all for my designs and learn to focus on the process. As I believe when I am focused on things that I can control, the result will follow.

I managed to create a visual to show clean and organized feels. The color combination I pick is based on Japanese color philosophy. Blue to symbolize modern, calm, and constancy. Green to represent restful and clean.

Viannda Bakery is a homemade bakery in Tangerang which needs a new identity to make the bakery stands out from its competitor.

I took inspiration from rush hour in the morning. Therefore, I made a logo based on people who are grabbing their breakfast in a rush. The color brown and green with a touch of yellow is to give a bright and organic feel.

Locus Wall Organizer is a shelf to help people organized their belongings. The project is to create an identity such as logo and corporate stationery.

solution

The logo is inspired by the wood surface to give a natural look. I also took the basic shape from an organizer to give a productive feeling. I chose the color based on Scandinavian’s natural colors; monochrome with hints of natural wood color.

Graduation 2018 took an inspiration based on Madurese culture. solution

Based on the research, Madurese script’s origin is from Hanacaraka (Aksara Jawa). Hanacaraka has a long swirling tail with contrast stroke. I made the typeface using the basic stroke of Hanacaraka combined with minimalism.

Ultigraph is a graphic design annual event held by visual communication design students of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. A custom typeface is created to build brand recognition of the event.

solution

The roots of Ultigraph’s name is based on the Sanskrit Language.The concept of Ultigraph 2019 is modernism with the identity of Nusantara. I made this typeface based on the characteristic of Pallava typeface; rounded rectangular stroke, monoline, and geometric look alike. Geometric sans serif style is chosen based on its modern look, clean, and to achieve functionalism.

Typefaces play an essential role in setting the mood and forming an impression about the design. As part of my self-branding, I made a typeface referring to the concept of my personality as a designer focused on minimalism and functionalism with a classic touch.

I choose a bold style to draw attention to short phrases. Serif style is used to show classic, sophisticated, but still modern feel.
