Strong defense Guarding his opponent, Jackson Forte, 12, plays defense in the varsity basketball game against Rockwall-Heath on Nov. 27. Legacy won, 76-55. “The win made us feel good, but we couldn’t get too happy because there were other missions ahead. We just took it as another game,” Forte said. “I like to change the game and make an impact for other people on the court and my teammates.”

Solo moment

With a microphone attached to his euphonium, Grant Ruhland, 12, performs his solo to an arrangement of “Rocky Point Holiday” during the varsity football game halftime show. The football team played MHS on Sept. 13 and lost, 42-31. “I knew that if Mr. Nance chose me for the solo that he belived in me,” Ruhland said.

Lively audience

Posing as Mr. and Mrs. Zuckerman, seniors Cody Leveck and Kendall Jones smile for a picture in the PAC. The theater production class performed “Charlotte’s Web” for elementary schools Nov. 8. “It was really exhilarating performing to kids because they were engaged in whatever you did, and they thought everything was funny,” Jones said.

Faith over fear

After eating breakfast at Senior Sunrise, Judy Johnston, 12, writes “Faith over Fear” on a poster on Aug. 15. The senior class officers set out the poster for students to write something they hoped to accomplish during the year. “I wrote faith over fear because it’s something I always want to remember,” Johnston said. “When I get stressed, I look to Jesus to work through that stress. It was something good to remember throughout the year.”
