Double Trouble Treat Company is a family-owned dog treat business. Twin brothers Hunter and Chase Sanford, diagnosed with autism at an early age, started their thriving dog treat business just over a year ago. Like most kids suffering from learning disabilities, the twins did not adapt well to virtual school during the pandemic. As the family sat around the table one night, discussing ways to help the boys regain some of their occupational skills, they came up with a plan that would allow the boys to practice their skills and learn new ones at the same time.

Hunter, who loves to bake, came up with an idea to make dog treats to give away to friends and family. Chase, the artist, decided to join in and designed the logo. Together, they turned their hobby into a thriving business. Today, the duo sells their dog treats in three stores in the Richlands, NC area and one in Swansboro, NC.
