PUBLISHER'S LETTER When we put into place the theme for this magazine, our world was one full of travel and busy work from anywhere individuals. As it came closer to time to put this in inboxes; our world changed so dramatically. Travel has been halted and people are placed in their homes waiting out a chaotic storm of uncertainty. I have great hope that this time of uncertainty and graveness will come to an end. New beginnings will blossom and we will have found a new level of gratefulness for luxuries we never knew we should have counted on our list of blessings. They say one of the best things about reading is that it can take you places without you ever leaving your home. This is the case especially in light of this issue where we talk about so many amazing places and people. You can dive in and you can enjoy the magazine right from the comfy chair (or bed) at home in your jammies with some coffee (or wine). The beautiful lady on the cover is none other than Crystal Davis who is the founder of the High-Income Digital Nomad Course. I have had the pleasure of working with her both through the course and through private one on one coaching. She is amazing and one of a kind! There are so many wonderful guest authors in this book and I want to just say thank you to each one of them. They all did an amazing job of bringing to you readers a wealth of articles that you are going to love.
Thank you again to Fran for the lovely design work each month with the magazine and all the work she puts into making it beautiful. Thank you to my assistant Olivia who I could not do all I do without. Enjoy this amazing magazine and dive in deep. Immerse yourself in the material and in all the great articles. Take some time and flip through it while you choose to allow your mind to take you to a place of calm and collective love. I know this time has been fueled with fear, but choose that your faith is stronger than your fear. As I write this I am sitting at my desk at home, sipping a mimosa, watching my one-year old play and hearing the birds chirp out my window. I am loved and blessed. Hold tight to your vision and remember that now, more than ever, is a time to rise up and lead. The world needs us online entrepreneurs…let us unite…miles apart…and help others find the faith in this time. Lots of love,

Crystal Davis, Founder of High Income Digital Nomad on Getting the Fastest Start in an Online Business I was rudely awakened from my pleasant, pillowy dreams by beeps and clinical smells; the blurry face of my surgeon in front of me. He was smiling from ear to ear and doing a double thumbs up. “We found it!” He exclaimed, excitedly. “And it was the worst case of Stage IV endometriosis I’ve ever seen! How were you able to walk these past few years?” Drugs, doc, I couldn’t quite say. Drugs were how. This was Melbourne, 2011 He was weirdly excited because we’d finally found the reason for my relentless pain and illness, but little did I know this conversation marked the beginning of my spectacular and decidedly unglamorous life change.
From this moment on, I never again set foot in the corporate office that had me making 6 figures a year in sales coaching and project management at all of 28 years old. It was the start of the spiral. First, I lost my gorgeous Southbank apartment. Next, I had to sell all my designer suits to buy food. I started eating at the local “pay what you can” food kitchen, unable to pay anything and feeling embarrassed and worthless. It taught me how disturbingly close “rich” people are to the poverty line when your income depends on someone else paying you.

Nothing to do for it, I moved back in with my Mum in Tasmania. I was humbled on every level. So how did I get in such a state?
I finally understood how to make thousands online and have it be easy.
Looking back, I guess the beginning of the end came when at my 10-year anniversary with the company, after dedicating my entire adult life to them, I got a handshake, a certificate and was sent back to my desk. I realized how expendable I was. And while I kept working, and even kept climbing the ladder, my soul had a hole in it. That hole ate away at my body. And I ignored all of it. My soul, my body, my desires for my life, the whole lot. So yeah, then, hospital (#obvs). It was truly my “fuck this” moment that made me utterly unemployable, and therefore, inevitably an entrepreneur. And the first few years of my self-owned business?
And in the end, it was so much more logical than I’d thought. I created a very simple and very needed high ticket service program. I instantly ten times’d the income I’d made the previous 3 months. Hooray! I received my first $3k pay in full client payment while sitting at the bar in Italy, drinking tea. It all felt completely surreal, but so right at the same time. Then? I made my first $20k. And then I made my first $100k. All using my own creativity and collected skills. I’ve been teaching it to people all over the world ever since! And you love? Are you having your “fuck this” moment now? Here’s what’s important:
Ugly. Money-less. Struggle. Yes, it felt better, more aligned and more genuine. But it was also fraught with questions, lack of structure, and lack of outcomes. Lots of learning and lots of trying, but ultimately failing at one, essential thing - how to ACTUALLY make enough money to live and travel as I truly desired. And then, in the Italian winter of 2017, I nailed it.
• We all want a sense of control over our own destinies, especially financial. • None of us are happy to settle for “just ok” in life. So, in this article I hope to help you restore that sense of control over your destiny and give you a kick in the pants to have the courage to ask for what you truly want. Below is how to get started online or to finally make money from an income-less online business in the shortest possible timeframe.

CRYSTAL DAVIS: FEATURED ARTICLE
1. TOP LEARNING, START ACTING
2. TRAIN YOUR EYE FOR OPPORTUNITY
When new clients come to me, they’ve sometimes been working to make money online for years. In many cases have invested tens of thousands, even sometimes hundreds of thousands into their self-development. Not only have they learned, but they have implemented! I don’t tend to attract the slackers, that’s for sure. And after all that investment, still have no return on income to show for it. None! If this is you, you are certainly not alone. And here’s what you need to do: Stop doing anything that has never made you a dollar! If you’re putting energy into something that is actively causing you to fail, it is time to get off the roundabout. Yes, get your head around (for now) writing off every bit of that learning and investing; start with a clean slate. Though I know that can hurt the ego, nothing feels better than success after long term failure. And the good news is that all of the things you’ve learned will absolutely come in handy later. But what you want is income now, so time for that ego death so we can birth the new you!
Creativity is the solution to the fear-terrorfreeze-fail cycle. When I understood how to simply open my heart and mind to see what people needed, I was able to quickly fill that gap. I credit this change in thinking to being the reason that I went from making $847 for 3 months at the end of 2016, to nailing $8440 the next quarter. I never looked back. How to do this? Look around where you are already present (this could be social media, real life social circles, networking or anywhere you are part of any group). Then, train your eye to see the opportunities. These will come in the form of “themes” or repetition of a subject. These things will often be things that annoy you. Things you wish people would do better, or seem very straightforward and basic to you. My first successful online program was born from seeing a trend that spiritual entrepreneurs in a group I was a part of were all struggling with basic business foundations. If you are seeing something more than once, you can see the problem and you feel it would be easy to fix; this is your path of least resistance to your first high paying clients. And the path of least resistance is how to make money quickly. Trust your hunches. Now we’re thinking like entrepreneurs.

3. CREATE A VERY SIMPLE HIGH TICKET OFFER
4. SELL IT TIL IT IS SOLD
Direct offers produce direct results. And an offer priced in the thousands is the only way to make enough income to create cash flow for anyone who is not yet an internet celebrity. Here’s the thing, love. In any group of 100 people, including friends and family, there is always going to be at least one person who is a fit for ANY product, at any price point. This means, if you know 100 people right now, you can have a client who needs to problem you’ve identified solved. Now if you charge $47 for that product? You would never have enough time or resources to sell enough of them to pay even one of your bills. Anything under $2,000 will create more problems for you than it solves, and will be slow and frustrating. Not what you’re after! Make a simple program, and charge between $2k-$5k for it. (The product that changed my life for example was a 3-month program meeting once per week for an hour, and charging $1500 to help those spiritual entrepreneurs write and execute their first business plans). Then get your ass out there and sell it.
Your energy introduces you before you enter any room, especially virtual ones! Before we even talk about the “how” of selling you gotta have your backbone in the game. You need to decide not to take this shit anymore. You need to decide that you own the decision making in your world. You, quite simply, become the warrior of your own income. Backing yourself fully. It is time to believe that you ARE the person who will creatively problem solve and make this dream income happen. Just like in step 1, your creativity will save your ass. There are literally thousands of approaches to selling and all of them can work. You must give yourself the power to act on what you believe is the most logical selling step. All you need to ask yourself to get started really quickly is: What makes the most sense to get it sold? What is the most DIRECT way to sell it? And if that doesn’t work, what will I try? These times call for you to have resilience, paired with an expectation that the life you want is always available.

WHY LA DOLCE VITA WILL NEVER LOSE IT'S SWEETNESS How Italy will make it's comeback post CoronaVirus Mania
Nikki Taylor
As I am writing this article, I am sitting in my kitchen in my apartment in Martina Franca in Puglia; one of the most beautiful regions in the whole of Italy. We are on day 7 of our quarantine due to the Corona Virus. The entire country has gone into lockdown, which is having a domino effect on various countries in Europe and now the USA and my native Australia. These past few weeks since the virus has taken over our beautiful country, which has been my home for the past 5.5 years, I have done a lot of thinking about the future of Italy, and the impact it will have on the tourism and real estate industries. My background is coaching overseas buyers purchasing property in Italy either with the view to transforming it into a successful Holiday Rental or for their own personal use to create their own slice of La Dolce Vita. The thought has crossed my mind many a time “are we in serious trouble here”? Well in the short term the answer is yes. Italy is a country that thrives on tourism, with the summer season approaching and all flights being cancelled it’s not looking good. My heart goes out to the people whose livelihoods depend on having a healthy summer season full of bookings. They will definitely feel the impact and the cancellations have already started pouring in. Will that impact have an effect on the entire season? That remains to be seen and how this lockdown coincides with keeping the virus under control and out of the country. THE SEVEN FIGURE

WHY LA DOLCE VITA WILL NEVER LOSE How Italy will make its big comeback
IT'S SWEETNESS
post Corona Virus mania
But one thing remains abundantly clear. Italy has been a country that has been admired by millions around the world; for its lifestyle, stunning architecture, crystal blue seas and not to mention award winning local gastronomic delights and premium wines. This is what people crave when they visit Italy and this is something that no virus can wipe out.
For people looking to purchase properties with the view of transforming them into a Holiday Rental, a wise time to buy would be in the autumn months. The property purchase process can take a couple of months at least and you would want to be giving yourself enough time for the property to be ready for the Holiday Rental market. Any sort of cosmetic improvements and undertaking a Home Staging strategy needs to be thought out in advance so that your property is ready to be placed into the Holiday Rental circuit for the 2021 season. The Holiday Rental industry exceeded $36B in 2018, with more and more people looking to stray from the traditional style hotels and instead opt for a home away from home, albeit added with some extra luxuries.
Italy will always bounce back and why is that? The answer is simple. Because, it’s Italy. The dream that people have to come to Italy isn’t dying down because of this terrible virus, in fact it is creating more of a desire to visit once the dust settles. In my online community “How to Confidently Buy Property in Italy” I get requests on the daily from people from all over the world, expressing their love for Italy and their dream of buying a property has never been stronger. People are uniting all over the world to support this beautiful country, which has charmed them all with its undeniably unique beauty. Videos are being shared all over social media of the Italians putting on a united front each evening, playing musical instruments, to inject some “allegria” (cheer) into their communities. I watch the locals unite together and their pride for their country shines so strongly it is quite emotional to see.
The Corona Virus will come and go but the mentality of the local Italians will be stronger than ever, to fight for their country. A renewed sense of appreciation and gratitude will wash over when the locals are able to resume their day to day activities; gathering in the local piazza, old men playing card games all day long, (until their wives call them for lunch), children playing in the street, people enjoying aperitifs, the tantalising aromas that waft out of the local bakeries and “pasticcerias”. Where people can go back to their favourite pastime “dolce far niente” – the sweet art of doing nothing.
So, what does Corona Virus mean for people who are looking to invest in real estate? I imagine that the property prices here will definitely drop which will be even more attractive for the overseas buyer. THE SEVEN FIGURE

Italy is a country that has survived wars, economic recessions and it will survive the Corona Virus and its come back will be stronger than ever. The virus is keeping people in their homes, but cannot ravage or ruin the ancient architecture, rustic Mediterranean countryside, stunning coastline and of course the cheerful Italian spirit.

FINDING JOY as a Single Mum and Digital Nomad
Joanna Sim
‘You can't keep travelling once you have a baby,’ They said. ‘Watch me,’ I said as I embarked on a life as a solo mum by choice and a digital nomad. I lived and worked around the world for years before I had my son, and I’ve successfully adapted that life to us now as a tightknit team of two. We spend three months each year exploring the world, all while I continue to service my clients and earn money. Living as a digital nomad while having 100% care for my small child is not an easy life, but it is a joyful one. Being able to watch camels meandering by on a sunbathed Rajasthani morning with him one month and eat street food together at markets in Singapore the next is a beautiful way to be able to live. If digital nomading while parenting appeals to you, technology, planning and being adaptable are all skills that will help you achieve this.

FINDING JOY as a Single Mum and Digital Nomad
1.GET YOUR SYSTEMS IN PLACE
4. PLAN YOUR FLIGHTS AROUND YOUR INDUSTRY HOURS
Get your systems in place. By that I mean implement online tools such as automation, your onboarding processes and project management platforms. This will save you lots of time doing the same admin again and again later on. Small things make a big difference. For instance, switching on a well-crafted automatic response email can tell your client when they can expect a response from you and can point them to links where they can find out more about working with you. This means when you do get in touch with them, they already have some of the knowledge they need to move forward with working with you. 2. EDUCATE YOUR CLIENTS FROM THE START Educate your clients early in your working relationship and manage their expectations. For example, I like to tell my clients during our discovery call how I work around my lifestyle and what that will mean for them (my nomadic lifestyle has no bearing on the outcomes of the work I do for them). Being transparent early on in the relationship means they can opt out before they opt in. I should say, though, that I’ve never had a client not work with me because I’m in another country that month. 3.PLAN TRAVEL AND WORK IN ADVANCE EACH QUARTER OR YEAR
Don't choose your flights based on price, choose them based on the best time to work around your industry or your own business hours. For instance, I work Tuesday to Thursday, standard office hours so I prefer to fly on a Friday or Saturday. This gives me plenty of time to get my home comforts sorted in my new place, scope out my new neighbourhood and have my mind on the job when it’s needed. 5. THINK ABOUT HOW EACH DESTINATION WILL FIT IN WITH YOUR WORK Consider your destinations before booking your flights. I live in Melbourne, Australia and I prefer to travel in Asia for longer stays. One of the reasons for this is that that Asian countries as just a few hours behind Australia which makes it easier to work when my clients are online. When I travel within Europe, it’s usually for shorter trips as the time difference is more difficult to work around. I try to block out annual leave or I limit my work hours for these trips. It’s sometimes unavoidable and I have to work while there and occasionally have to stay up until one in the morning to make a client call. But being able to roll with the punches is part of the DNA as a single-mum digital nomad.
Plan ahead. Try to lock in your travel dates in advance every quarter in on year so that you can think ahead about what's going to work with the clients that you service. This lets you and them plan around their needs. THE SEVEN FIGURE

FINDING JOY as a Single Mum and Digital Nomad
6. LEAN INTO THE WEE SMALL HOURS TO WORK AROUND YOUR CHILD
8. GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND
Turn your restrictions to your advantage. You might think you’re the boss, but it’s your little one that calls the shots around here. Your day will be centred around naps, meals and activities and you’ll spend a lot more time in your accommodation than you would before your tiny sidekick came along for the ride. You can turn this to your advantage by leaning into it. For me, this means maximising the time spent on work while my kiddo is asleep. I work better in the morning, so I stick to our daily routine but push the times forward. This allows us to enjoy a later dinner and be part of the magic of the early evening buzz of whatever city or town we’re in. I forgo the usual bedtime routine and go to bed at the same time as my child. I then wake around 5am, which gives me around three blissfully quiet hours of productive work time and peace and quiet to enjoy my morning coffees, uninterrupted. Add in daytime naps and I can get around five hours of work done each day with ease while enjoying the rest of the day in holiday mode with my little travel buddy.
Hop onto Google to research childcare options in the place that you would like to go to and this will work differently for you at each place depending how comfortable you feel with the kiddie care options that are available. Some places have had suitable options for me and some places haven't, but this is ok and it just means I know ahead of time what I’m working with and can plan around that. 9. TRAVELLING IS STRESSFUL BUT EXPLORING IS JOYFUL Understand before you head off that going through an airport with a small child and enough luggage for a three-month stay can be stressful. As much as I prepare for this, it’s different each time due to my child’s needs changing as he gets older. There’s rarely been a time when we've gone through an International Airport that hasn't resulted in some level of stress. But that’s where it ends. The delights that await you at the other side are worth it!
7. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED Little kids can be very unpredictable so be ready for this. With developmental leaps and a change in their behaviour par for the course, and the likelihood of them getting ill and wanting to be close to you at all times, plan ahead for these inevitabilities. I manage this by working ahead of my deadlines where I can. If you have a deadline for Friday at noon, try to set your own deadline to get that done by Wednesday. This buys you a buffer if a kid-related hiccup happens. THE SEVEN FIGURE

GROWING YOUR BUSINESS by Finding Balance in the Everyday Chaos
10. IT’S NOT ALL SUNSHINE AND BEACHES Really think about the logistical, practical and emotional aspects of the digital nomad life as a parent. It comes with its own set of difficulties, as does a settled life in one place. At times you're going to crave home comforts, familiar faces and stability. This life isn’t for everyone. But if it’s for you (and your little person), the rewards are plentiful and unmatched by anything else.

MINDFUL TRAVEL TIPS to Master the Vacation of your Dreams
Cheryl Bailey
Months ago, you strategically picked the destination for your vacation, you scheduled time to get away from the routine of life. You excitedly counted down the months, days and even the hours until your departure, and dreamed about what you will do while you are away. As you packed, you checked and rechecked everything to be certain you included all the special items you wanted for this trip. You absolutely could not wait for the day to arrive and it’s finally here. You want this vacation to be different than others. Let’s face it, our time is precious. We are consistently busy in our daily lives, and it’s important to make the most of our leisure time so we can reset and rejuvenate. However, it’s natural for some of our daily “not so good” habits to spill into our special, sacred time on our vacation. How can we make this excursion different than others? Through practicing mindfulness and NOT mindlessness Jon Kabat Zinn, the Master of Mindfulness, defines it as “the awareness that arises from paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment and nonjudgmentally.” Mindfulness is a deliberate attentional training, holding our attention in the present moment and not being lost in the past or thinking about what the future has in store. Mindfulness is being engaged with what’s going on right in front of you...the present moment. Isn’t that the only moment we really have?

MINDFUL TRAVEL TIPS to Master the Vacation of your Dreams
How do you translate this into mindful travel? Mindful travel looks like full engagement in your surroundings and enjoying each of the experiences as they unfold at your desired destination. Intentional travel would be fully engaging with everyone and everything around you. By devoting your attention to each moment during your time away from home, you begin to appreciate what’s happening more in the moment while it is occurring. You are activating your brain’s direct experience network and not your default motor network… your autopilot. Humans experience moments in life and interact in the world in two distinct ways, through the default motor network or the direct experience network. We often operate in our DEFAULT motor network; this is when we aren’t doing much. It's the network involved in planning, daydreaming and ruminating. The default network is active for most of your waking moments and doesn't take much effort to operate. The DIRECT experience network is activated, you are not thinking intently about the past or future, other people, yourself, or considering much at all. All of your senses come alive in that present moment. This is where you experience your vacation from. You can incorporate the following five steps to experience a more mindful, meaningful vacation.
FIVE STEPS TO A MINDFUL VACATION
Relax and Rest – You have planned this vacation; you have earned the time away, begin the vacation on the right foot. Be mindful when packing, when leaving your home, and acknowledge that you have all the necessary documents to travel. Remember to breathe. Close your eyes and begin the vacation with some mindful breaths bringing you into the present moment where the actual experience of the trip will transpire. Slow Down – Don’t rush to rush some more through each moment to get to the next. There is truth in “time flies when you are having fun.” Take your time and savor the moments while they are happening. If you have planned out your week, fully surrender into each day as it unfolds. Our daily lives at home are often rushed and those habits and feelings can automatically spill over into our vacation. Be mindful how you feel on a daily basis. Engage in Present Moment Awareness – Be present. Be intentional about drawing healthy boundaries of how you plan to connect with your electronic devices during vacation. Technology has the ability to suck us in. Attempt to disengage yourself from becoming distracted by work emails and phone calls or worrying about what’s taking place on your social media feed. Understanding that not all individuals have the ability to fully disconnect on vacation, be specific about the amount of time you will engage with your electronic devices. Plan on placing the device out of sight removing the temptation to habitually grab it. Give yourself permission to take longer than normal to respond to messages if necessary.

MINDFUL TRAVEL TIPS to Master the Vacation of your Dreams
Soak It All In – Take a few moments during your day to close your eyes and drink the moment through your five senses. Loose your mind and come to your senses. See, hear, smell, touch, and taste each experience. For example, if you are at a tropical destination, take time to stand at the ocean’s edge, feel the water as it floats in and around your ankles, see the deep blue and green tones of the water, smell the crisp ocean air, hear the waves or gulls as they fly overhead, and taste the salty, humid air. Truly engage your direct experience network. Journal – The trip will come and go, and we believe that we will remember all the details. A deeper way to bring yourself back to the moment is through pictures and writings. When we see a picture or read a journal entry, we are taken right back to that exact moment to when it occurred. Set aside some time each day to write at least sentence about your day’s experiences, a quote or even a poem that resonates with you. Take pictures to commemorate the trip. However, if you are using your phone to do so, be mindful of how you are engaging with your electronic device. A picture is worth a thousand words.

When you look back on your vacation, thank yourself for spending time and engaging your direct experience network. FALLING IN LOVE AGAIN
Elisa Doro
Our planet…round and beautiful, was always on my mind. Faraway places, colours and buildings, the sound of the different words, the smells of new foods, old forests, and clear streams, castles and cathedrals, hilltop villages, and daily markets. Ancient traditions and religious festivals, kids playing in the streets, farmers tending their crops, old men gathering in village squares playing cards and drinking a glass of something delicious. My heart always belonged to these images, these smells and these sounds and as early as 4 years of age, I had my first taste of travel on a big ocean liner across the seas to my parents’ homeland…la bella Italia. I still remember riding a donkey in Calabria in southern Italy. It was my 4th birthday and a special treat for me. It was then that I fell deeply in love with donkeys. And fresh bread And Nutella And gelato I waited till my 21st birthday to return to Europe. I was offered a choice - a big 21st birthday party with all my friends. OR a trip to Europe. It didn’t take very long (about 1/2 second) to choose.

FALLING IN LOVE AGAIN
That was many decades ago and ever since, I’ve had a sort of ”travel fever.” and an inexhaustible thirst and curiosity for this planet and its art, culture, history and peoples. It wasn’t until the late 1980s that I first stumbled upon the fairylike land called the Valle D’Itria in Puglia, southern Italy. It was then that I saw my first trullo…a kind of fairytale-esque building, probably inhabited by Italian hobbits a few centuries ago. In actual fact, the trulli were inhabited by the farmers of this poor region, who were granted permission to build some shelters for themselves and family whilst working the land of the wealthy landowners. The dry-stone huts are constructed out of limestone slabs stacked on top of each other to form pyramidal, domed or conical roofs. Despite the lack of mortar, the structure is surprisingly stable. Trulli were built during a period of history, when the construction of stable dwellings was highlytaxed. These ingenious Italians came up with the idea of the trulli – temporary houses that could be dismantled at short notice, particularly when the tax inspector was around. This is known to have occurred in 1644 to avoid the tax inspectors sent by the King of Naples. So, 30 years later, a bit ruffled and worn but still with a huge love for this place and its trulli, I finally moved here. I left Australia, sold my share of my business, which had been my baby. I left my friends and family and all that was comfortable and familiar, and bought myself a one-way ticket to Italy.

FALLING IN LOVE AGAIN
Oh, and I forgot to mention - I also bought myself one of those sweet and curious little stone trulli. 2018 and 2019 was spent painstakingly renovating these 6 coned cottages. Blood, sweat and tears and many euros later, my dream came true - I think. Finally, Trullo Trelisa is opening its doors to visitors. The interior is totally handmade by local artisan and creative, Francesco. The use of natural recycled material makes it warm, comfortable and traditional, and at the same time comfortable and cozy. The interior is designed by me and my Dutch designer friend, Eleonora - blending styles from all over the globe to create an eclectic and unique space. The organic garden is filled with fruit trees and vines for your pleasure and there are even chickens in the coop to lay fresh eggs for you. The garden is a sensory and visual delight, with its many colourful roses and drooping wisteria, shady corners and outdoor kitchen - secret places to rest, sunny spots to soak up the sun, and soft grassy mounds to lay upon.
Elisa Doro organizes guided tours including wine and olive tasting, cooking classes, yoga and photography in this region of Italy she knows so well.

27 MUST DO TIPS for Your Next Business Trip
Blair Hayse
1. Consider where you stay: Be close to where you need to go. Location over price point will get you much further. 2. Perfect your packing strategy: I rarely check a bag — that adds up to an hour of travel time that can be spent at the hotel or in a lounge. And I have one bag that can carry my laptop and essentials. 3. Prepare a travel kit: You don’t know what could happen between security and your destination, or how your body will react. I have a variety of small medicines like Tylenol, Dramamine, Pepto and sleep aids. I like to be prepared for everything. I even pack an eye mask and ear plugs, just in case. 4. Don't forget these essentials: Always bring cleansing pads to clean your face on the flight and when you travel to places with very different weather (i.e. humid climates). Pack essential oils – my go to oils are peppermint and lavender. Bring vitamins, your immune system will take a hit with the travel and I rely heavily on Emergen-C. Probiotics help the immune system and lower the risks of getting sick (if you can, take them one week prior).

27 MUST DO TIPS for Your Next Business Trip
5. Pack the right clothing: I always bring a sweater for layering, since airplanes are cold and you don’t know what the weather will be like in your host country. It's key to invest in one nice blazer for a trip: A blazer can make an outfit formal or go business casual with jeans. Black flats work for work and walking around, and they're light to pack. Always bring extra undergarments: You never know when you can do laundry. And think ahead: Bring a bathing suit, in case you decide to use the hotel pool, for example. I travel in items that are easy and comfy. 6. Keep a neutral palette: Pack light colors and neutrals, which can be mixed and matched. But avoid white, which can stain easily. 7. Bring small bills: I bring foreign currency in smaller bills for service tips as soon as I land.
10. Bring travel-size skincare products: I pack everything travel size. It helps me not be weighted down. I even have a travel size Gucci Perfume I take along. 11. Be business ready: Be business ready as soon as you land…Drink a lot of water and hydrate so that your skin doesn’t show how tired you are. If you have to go to a meeting right after you land, pack an outfit and carry it in a suit bag so that it doesn’t need to be ironed and you’ll be able to change right away. Dry shampoo will make your hair look like it’s been cleaned and not leaning against a seat. Have your office essentials in one bag that is ready to take with you. Have a coffee or caffeinated drink at least two hours before the meeting to keep you energized. (Some people say to avoid caffeine to fight jet lag, but if you have a meeting, you do what you need to do.) 12. Handle jet lag and dive right into the hustle: Adapt to the local meal time to get over jet lag. If you can, start eating on the local time before you get to the destination. This is especially helpful if you are traveling a long way for only a couple days.
8. Bring gifts for a business trip abroad: Chocolates, savory snacks and anything food-related is ideal. It shows that you are thankful, but did not get something over-the-top that could offend or embarrass. 9. Leave these things at home: Forget the extra pairs of heels — shoes are heavy. Handbags are also heavy. Pick one that can be functional, chic and can work for day and night (so, usually black). Don't bring your entire beauty routine and skin care line. Leave behind the expensive jewelry: It isn't worth the risk of getting stolen and can make you a target for pickpockets and thieves. I just pack a few light jewelry items I can wear with all outfits.
13. Stretch between flights: You don’t always realize just how tired your muscles are between flights or stretches of your trip until you are forced to sit down for four to 12 hours at one time with little walking room. I found that stretching before sitting leaves my legs less restless on long flights. 14. Use jet lag to your advantage: If you have jet lag, working out can be a lifesaver, from boosting energy to regulating your metabolism.

27 MUST DO TIPS for Your Next Business Trip
15. Manage the stress of traveling while balancing work: Pick flights that let you rest the most when you land at your destination. This sounds counterintuitive, but don’t sleep when you get to your destination if there is a big-time difference: You want to adjust if you are there for more than three days. Instead, do relaxing activities like going to a local spa, doing a workout or taking a stroll through the city. You’ll be so exhausted you’ll be right on their schedule by the next morning.
20. Read: Being on social media all the time is not easy on the eye and doesn’t make you present. Also, if you had a terrible experience between flights (missing luggage, etc.), looking at social media can make you feel worse. I always have my Kindle or a physical book to read on breaks between travels. 21. Keep in touch with family: Taking time to call a parent, relative or friend can bring down the blood pressure, especially if something stressful like missing a flight or getting a wallet stolen happens while traveling.
16. Make your hotel room feel like home: Keep the clutter away, especially in a small space. If you’re traveling for work, bring office supplies and lay them out in the hotel desk. The last thing you want is not being able to find supplies to work; it’s a business trip after all. And I sometimes bring my own tea bags and snacks — something that I know will be guaranteed to bring happiness if I'm not feeling particularly adventurous with food.
22. Always have an external battery and a charger: Between taking pictures, navigating and making notes for things to check out later, you use your phone way more while traveling than you normally do. While just about every bartender has a charger behind the bar, it's great to have your own chargers and batteries on hand to take care of it yourself.
17. Adapt your daily routines wherever you go: Bring one item that you use every morning. Hair straightener? A particular lotion? It will help you feel at ease and set the tone for getting ready in a new bathroom. Dry shampoo is a must — who knows when you can shower between work, food and passing out?
23. Set realistic business goals: When you are in meetings, it feels easy to make promises because you were sent all the way there — but that is a part of the business. You don’t have to commit to everything and it’s okay to be realistic. Make sure you know what your goals are for the week and remember to meet them versus overreaching.
18. Be green: Opt to not have sheets changed daily. You don’t change your sheets at home every day, so why do you need to at the hotel?
24. Squeeze in sightseeing during a business trip: Take advantage of jet lag and wake up early: It's the perfect time to visit temples in Tokyo, historical sites in India or have coffee and pastries in Paris. Opt for flights that return later: You can leave your bags at the hotel and explore in the afternoon.
19. Bring things from work that help you adjust: Maybe you like a certain type of pens — these are NOT a waste of space. Travel can be a hectic whirlwind and those little details will make you feel like you have control over something.

27 MUST DO TIPS for Your Next Business Trip
25. Pick one thing you want to see and really enjoy it: There's no point trying to see everything when you're on a business trip (which also defeats the purpose of getting to know a host city). Airbnb Experience is a great option to squeeze an activity that is organized during a free afternoon or before a flight. 26. Eat local: I try to only eat local cuisine because it is a way to learn about the place in a short period of time. I always get the local cuisine for room service. 27. Make sure you have social mediaworthy photos, even between meetings: I like taking a pic of the view from the office window or the office itself: Every office has a unique aspect that is specific to that region. Take walks in the city after work before heading back to your hotel room: You can capture the culture of your host city. And lastly, take photos of food, especially local dishes. My family always jokes that they don't think I work on business trips (I do, I promise!) because I take so many pictures of food.
