STUDENT CONGRESS PRESIDENT I.
SCOPE This position serves as the representative leader of Student Congress.

DUTIES A. Chair of Student Congress Meetings B. Chair Student Congress Executive Committee Meetings C. Chair the University Tuition Review Committee D. Chair University SIFT Committee Meetings E. Appoint students to University Committees F. Coordinate the activities of the Student Congress Executive Committee G. Coordinate the activities of Student Congress H. Attend Presidents Roundtable meetings I. Serve as a member of the Undergraduate Assembly and the Faculty Senate J. Serve as a member of the U.T.S.S.A.C. K. Meet with Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at least once per week. L. Maintain at least 15-19 office hours per week M. Will perform other duties as deemed necessary

STUDENT CONGRESS VICE PRESIDENT I.
SCOPE This position assists the President in their duties and serves in their absence as head of Student Congress
II.
DUTIES A. Coordinates the activities of Student Congress Standing Committees B. Responsible for gathering information for the publication of The Directory and The Guide C. Coordinates the Student Congress training program D. Maintains Student Congress Website E. Maintains Student Congress Resolution Database F. Assists the President with New Student Orientation duties G. Develops Student Congress Publications H. Serves as a member of the Undergraduate Assembly I. Attend Presidents Roundtable Meetings J. Must serve on at least one University Committee K. Meet with Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at least once per week. L. Maintain at least 15-19 office hours per week M. Will perform other duties as deemed necessary

STUDENT CONGRESS SECRETARY/PROGRAM DIRECTOR I.
SCOPE Serves as the Secretary to Student Congress. Serves as Programs Chair for Student Congress.
II.
DUTIES A. Records attendance and votes at Student Congress meetings B. Maintains Student Congress Bulletin Boards and Student Congress calendars C. Records and distributes minutes of Student Congress meetings D. Responsible for administering the participation hours program E. Responsible for designated official correspondence of Student Congress, including absence letters F. Responsible for the Student Congress Memory Book; i.e., cataloging Student Congress Activities G. Coordinates Student Congress Programs and projects, including, Student Congress Night Walk, Maverick Opinion Boards and others H. Coordinates all slide shows and photo displays I. Attend Presidents Roundtable Meetings J. Must serve on at least one University Committee K. Meet with Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at least once per week. L. Maintain at least 12-15 office hours per week M. Will perform other duties as deemed necessary

STUDENT CONGRESS PARLIAMENTARIAN I.
SCOPE Serves as the Parliamentarian of Student Congress
II.
DUTIES A. Chairs the Student Congress Rules and Appropriations Committee B. Coordinates the Student Congress Discount Program C. Serves as liaison with student members of University Committees; which includes coordination of meetings and reports D. Chair of Library Ad Hoc Committee composed of Student Congress members E. Trains new members F. Serves as a member of the Homecoming Committee G. Coordinates the activities of the SIFT Committee H. Reviews Student Congress Constitution I. Serves as liaison with Student Organizations J. Attend Presidents Roundtable Meetings K. Must serve on at least one University Committee L. Meet with Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at least once per week M. Maintain at least 12-15 office hours per week N. Will perform other duties as deemed necessary

STUDENT CONGRESS EXTERNAL RELATIONS DIRECTOR I.
SCOPE Serves as the director of all external relations with governing bodies that influence the future of The University of Texas at Arlington.
II.
DUTIES A. Chairs the Student Congress External Relations Council. B. Administers Student Congress outreach program including Preview Days, Activities Fair Day and others. C. Coordinate Board of Regents and Coordinating Board Selection Process. D. Reports to Student Congress on all higher education policy issues. E. May coordinate a Maverick Legislation Day during regular and/or special sessions of the Texas Legislature. F. Serves as liaison with the Student Programming Board (EXCEL) and attends their weekly meetings G. Attend City of Arlington meetings as appropriate. H. Attend Presidents Roundtable Meetings I. Serves as a member of the Homecoming Committee J. Must serve on at least one University Committee K. Meet with Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at least once per week L. Maintain at least 12-15 office hours per week M. Will perform other duties as deemed necessary
