CampbellCo Fall Bidoff - 2023

Friends & Fellow Breeders:

We would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to our 2023 Fall Bid-Off sale. As always, we greatly appreciate your interest in our cattle and our program. Our goal is to see our customers be successful with our cattle. Whether it be in the ring or the pasture, we want these females to make a positive mark. Congratulations to our 2022 customers on their achievements! We wish you all the best going forward.

We feel this is a special set this year. As you will notice, we are offering almost double the number of head as last year. This is the result of a big effort in our ET program and an expansion of the herd. We decided if we were going to offer more options, the quality must remain the same. That said- this is a more diverse set. We feel there are more breed options and different types and kinds than we have ever offered. This year’s heifers are backed by several of our most consistent donors. Quality truly runs deep in this group!

It is impossible to have a sale or a successful cow herd without lots of great help. We are fortunate to have incredible sale help this year. Cohen Guenther, Keegan Long (Tiger King), and Brayden Howard (Tonto) have put in the long hours and done a fantastic job. Dr. Bruce Frederick, our vet, is the reason for many of the ET heifers in the sale and we simply couldn’t do this without his help. Dr. John Boyd & Austin Wolf (Donor Solutions) have played a intricate role in creating viable embryos for our program. We would also like to thank Evan Kempker for his efforts with our co-op calves.

This year we would like to kick things off with a new twist on one of our very best! We finally flushed “Cardi” to a couple of Angus options and we couldn’t be more thrilled with what we got. 1A is a 23rd of January daughter of Seldom Rest Sandman 6075. This sharp featured heifer is beautiful in her design. She also combines this style with an extra shot of power and substance. As an added plus, she is first year gentle and beautiful haired. We are excited about this one to say the least!

LimFlex LOT 10A

Those of you who know our program know that Hannah is a BIG fan of the Limi breed. This Dignity is certainly a sale feature, being the first daughter out of Hannah’s national champion Gigi donor we have ever offered for sale. This Lim Flex is sharp featured, stout made and beautiful from the profile. This ones donor dam is one of the most beautiful cows in the herd, and we expect this one to follow in her footsteps.

To put it simply, this purebred Simmi gets us pumped up! Lot 11A is the result of an embryo purchase from Sullivan Farms and a full sib to the 2023 National Junior Simmental Show Reserve Grand Champion Heifer. This calf gives an elite look from the profile. She is beautiful fronted, massive bodied and exquisite in her hip and hind leg. This SAM daughter is as nice haired as any heifer in the offering. We are excited to see what the future holds for this young standout.

LOT 13

We have had a few of these 04G’s over the last couple years that resulted from a flush purchase from our good friends the Bloomberg’s, but this year’s edition takes it up a notch! Stout and square from every angle, this standout still gets out and flexes effortlessly on all four corners. This heifer is beautifully designed in her tailhead and pin-set as well. We expect big things from this purebred!

If you have been following along, this pedigree should seem pretty familiar. A full sib to Wrights and Lucey’s many time champions, this heifer has all the quality we have come to expect. Lot 15A is beautiful bodied and has the kind of sweeping underline that gets noticed in the ring. We really like her pin set and athletic hind leg. Ultra balanced, complete and feminine best describes this favorite of many.

The next several lots are Relentless / Cardi’s, which is the mating that pretty much started this sale. Back to back sisters were sold to the Guyer family and were successful show heifers. Even more rewarding, these cattle are starting to make their mark in production. This heifer in particular is long bodied, feminine built and high performance. We have fed enough of these now to know, this one has the goods!

If one of these things is not like the others, this would be her! This IGWT daughter is a little different bred than the others, but we think equally as useful. While she shows as a Chi, we think her ultimate purpose is in club calf production. This TH & DS free female is edgy in terms of her back and quarter shape. She still offers a round rib and sweeping underline, but does so with a cool neck. Its been since Dave showed “Head On” in 1989 that we had one this color in Cedarville, but this one suits us well.
