Businesses step up and deliver (Literally in times of great need 2020) By Christina Reed The Hired Pen Eastern Sierra, CA—Businesses and residents are figuring out how to live with delivery and pick up systems, including food, and services. We are also stepping up our efforts to invest in our local businesses and economies, with citizens investing in purchasing gift certificates and in turn, those businesses are offering those gift certificates to purchasing customers, like Manor True Value Hardware, said owner, Steve Christensen. William Morris, owner of Owens Valley Pest, said he was using virucides (any physical or chemical agent that deactivates / destroys viruses) to clean locally, and helping Manor Market's efforts to keep grocery delivery and pick up going forward. Morris noted, “Our industry [pest control] is built on health and safety,� and his business was doing “Covid-19 sanitation.� Thorough cleaning of surfaces, “in order to kill the virus,� and “using Grade A, commercial grade, labeled for coronavirus,� products for the deep cleaning.
