Our Water Works Car Wash 2018 creased in popularity. Today, serving about 80 customers a day, the business employees 10 staff members (some of the employees have been with the business for 20 years), as well as Quick Lube mechanics (providing this service since 1997) for oil changes. Jeromy notes there are about 16 oil changes a day, and this remains a steady part of their business, along with new internet applications, which do your oil change record keeping. By Christina Reed The Hired Pen Eastern Sierra, CA—The Beery family, of Bishop, CA, are serving up suds and shine at the Eastern Sierra's only full service car wash (in three counties: Inyo, Mono, and Alpine), and they smile when they add, for 21-years and counting. Open six days a week, except holidays, the family owned and operated business keeps a large number of vehicles cleaned up and ready for the roads. Shirley Beery, owner, says her husband, Joe (who has since passed away), and her son, Jeromy, another co-owner, came up with the notion to buy the business in 1997. The car wash had been in existence since the 1980s, and the Beerys on an anniversary made the decision to purchase the car wash. “You gotta buy it,” was Jeromy's comment, Shirley says. The name, Our Water Works, is a play on the board game spot, and over the years the business has in-

Shirley's role at the counter includes working with the seniors, which she says she looks forward to every week. Technology has changed some things in the car wash business. However, the weather and travelers have remained relatively constant, with more visitors coming into the business during inclement weather, to remove road grime and cinders. And, Shirley, adds, in the middle of winter, people don't want to wash their cars. The waiting room at Our Water Works offers a quiet place to hang out while you wait, and there are a number of car care products, like wind shield wipers and oil, which you can also purchase. There are specials which remain signature parts of the Our Water Works business, including their senior discounts, Ladies' Day discounts, and Jennifer has a Thursday Wash, which features Pick-up and Delivery. /There is daily complimentary coffee and water, in the spacious and comfortable waiting room, and carpet shampooing, dog hair removal, hand washing and waxing, express wash to full detailing options, and “free WiFi and taffy (candy),” Shirley says with a smile. Heal the Outer Garment With Religious Science and its roots being well over a hundred years since its introduction, I am often surprised by how many people don’t know, or don’t want to know what we are all about. Once it is established that we don’t adhere too many of their dogmatic views, we are dismissed from consideration. And God forbid, we refer to personal responsibility! To say that we are following the same healing techniques as Jesus is met with skepticism, however; this is an area that can often peak their interest. People are interested in their health. No matter how many abuse their bodies, they await miraculous cures that would allow them to continue down the path they have chosen to follow: So much so that they flock to worship at the foot of the medical profession. In the beginning healing was delegated to shamans, priests and rabbis, but eventually it was given over to doctors and nurses that, while dedicated, studied disease and injury as if it was separate and apart from the results of consciousness. They don’t consider that you are not your body, but your body reflects your thoughts and beliefs. The body, by itself can do nothing. Just like a flashlight without batteries cannot shine, the body without conscious and subconscious direction is helpless to do anything. The medical profession has a congregation that is loyal, has faith in their tenants, and supplies them with unlimited cash. I can think of no church or religious institution with such a devoted flock, except for possibly the First Church of the Liquor Store. Like the postal workers, rain, shine, sleet or snow will not keep their worshippers from accomplishing their goal acquiring more of what they desire. By no means am I condemning the medical profession. These people, I believe, are sincere and dedicated to healing in the ways they have been instructed, I, myself, have a wonderful doctor, and am grateful to those that have helped me throughout the years, however; I recognize that many of the medical interventions would have been totally unnecessary if I had had my head on straight. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out how dysfunctional thinking creates dysfunction in the body. The body is merely following the clues you have given it When Jesus healed, he did not inquire about what the doctors had to say, or what was the Latin name of the malady. Based on his teachings, he saw the person whole, perfect and complete. He taught us to see the healing as a reality; not dependent on time or method. This is what we in Religious Science call Treatment. Treatment is not limited to physical healings. It is a powerful resource in the quiver of mental tools need to live the life we desire. With treatment you can declare and achieve health, prosperity and wellbeing that you are here to have. God did not create weaklings. You are here to succeed. If you want more, you must do more. Think how you would like it to be. Accept it as a reality right now. Think and speak like whatever it is is already present. You may not even discern when it happens, but that or something better will be yours. Its not magic, but the unfolding of a law. God is Love and Loving You Right Now!,,
