Our hardware has been designed with a consideration for honest & humble materials & their properties.

We embrace the imperfections, patinas and variations that are intrinsic to the underlying importance of craftsmanship within India. If cared for correctly they will only get better with age!

Blackened Iron

Prolong the life of blackened iron with Penetrol which helps prevent & remove rust which may build up over time particularly in coastal or wet environments. We suggest applying a few coats over the life of the product.

Brass & Zinc

Both these metals will patina & age over time. This ever-changing characteristic makes the object even more beautiful!

Ceramic & Powder Coated

White Iron hand install only

Handle with care to prevent chips & cracks. Best cleaned with a nonabrasive brush or cloth.

Leather

We love how leather patinas & darkens over time, the oils of your skin will age it in the loveliest way. A little Oxalic acid can be used on leather to lessen stains (please follow directions of use carefully) installation tips

Screws provided

When needed, we provide screws that complement the hardware to truly make it sing! Screws aren’t self-tappers so we recommend pre-drilling a pilot hole when installing.

Measure twice, drill once

Cane will patina with use. It’s ok for your hands to be a little damp when touching cane wrapped hardware, but don’t leave wet textiles sitting on cane for long periods of time

Variations will occur in screw width for some styles due to their handmade nature. It’s recommended to measure each fitting individually before fixing.

Trim where needed packaging

For knobs and pulls that are fitted with a thread, trim to length required before installing.

Styles in a powder-coated finish should only be installed by hand, and NOT with an electric drill. Hand install helps prevent the powder-coat finish from chipping or getting marked.

Each product includes a branded brown kraft paper swing tag, and where required, a branded cotton screw bag which contains the appropriate amount of matching screws needed for installation. Products that come with screws are noted in the catalogue with the symbol
