Cushion vinyl inspires desire
With a new manifesto, identity, website and point of sale refresh, the new LeoLine is lifting the position of cushion vinyl in retail stores across the country.
Under the motto ‘floors as unique as you are’, LeoLine is making the practical and cost-effective floor finish desirable for a new generation of homeowners.
Alpha experience at Academy
GNG Flooring is looking forward to making full use of QuickStep Alpha Vinyl for its future LVT herringbone installs.
Essex-based GNG Flooring is a Quick-Step Laminate & Wood Master Installer and has long-been an advocate of the Belgian brand’s quality and ease of fitting. Having completed the Vinyl Foundation Installer course at the Academy for Excellence in Flooring, GNG Flooring is now gearing up for the Vinyl Master Installer course, kicking off this September.
Simon Gee, owner, GNG Flooring: “I’m a firm believer in the quality of Quick-Step. Not only are my customers pleased with the design integrity and performance of Quick-Step floors, the precision manufacturing and excellent consistency always results in a floor that’s great to install.
LeoLine will use The Flooring Show at Harrogate to give a preview of a new display concept that takes the next step in the brand’s development. Bringing the design and made in Belgium quality of LeoLine to the fore, the new display shares similarities with premium flooring point of sale – clever lighting, floating samples and a smart back finish – and puts LeoLine firmly in the realm of desirable flooring choices.
Stuart Reeves, sales director, LeoLine says: “We’re proud of the new look LeoLine, after all, it’s been a ground-up redesign of every touch point, as well as new collections. The prototype display is the culmination of much hard work behind the scenes from the team and is an impressive site. www.leoline.co.uk

GoodWeave International, the leading global nonprofit organisation working to stop child, forced and bonded labour in global supply chains, is serving as an official sustainability partner for Decorex International 2023.
GoodWeave invites designers, buyers and others working in the design industries to visit its stand to talk about about workers’ rights, responsible sourcing and how the GoodWeave program can help achieve their corporate responsibility goals. Visitors will also learn about GoodWeave’s established worldwide network of more than 190 licensed importer brands and retailers, as well as its more than 230 licensed manufacturers in India and Nepal.
Supporting Decorex’s sustainability focus, GoodWeave will share the positive social impact its licensing and certification programme has on worker communities involved in making rugs and interior home textiles in India and Nepal.
“However, I’ve experienced a lot of demand recently for herringbone LVT flooring, it’s hugely popular. While I would rather recommend Quick-Step, I’ve had to turn to other suppliers as there just wasn’t something suitable in the collection. So, I was super excited to learn about Alpha Vinyl and the new Unizip joint that makes it easy to install herringbone LVT."
Available on the Alpha Vinyl Ciro collection, Unizip eliminates the need for A&B herringbone planks and comes with the same fitting simplicity that has made Uniclic the world’s best joint for laminate installation. Speeding up installation, saving money and cutting down on waste, Unizip makes Alpha Vinyl Ciro GNG Flooring’s herringbone vinyl of choice.
The Vinyl Master Installer course is a two-day theory and practical course to gain accreditation by Quick-Step. Successful completion gives installers the chance to provide a confidence inspiring Lifetime Installation Warranty and delivers a range of other benefits, including technical backup and a full set of Alpha Vinyl swatches.
