rica Alfaro’s life would be a great screenplay except for one problem. No one would believe it. She was a 15-year-old mother born to immigrant farmer workers in a violent relationship who was rescued by her brother, dropped out of school twice before earning a Master’s degree, breaking the Internet and becoming a successful author.
