Kitti’s Corner

FROM THE DESK OF KITTI KLEINEDLER
Not a week goes by that one of the staff members receives a compliment, a thank you, or even a thumbs up for a job well done. These little signs of appreciation mean so much to those on the receiving end. So, I want to make this a “thank you” note to the many Cresswinders who continually do things to enhance our community. It goes without saying that the Board of Directors deserves a big thank you for the endless hours they put into their duties. Likewise, the committee and club chairpersons and their members contribute so much to the growth and well-being of the association. We wouldn’t be the community we are without their input and hard work. Cresswind is so fortunate to have people who are willing to expend their time and effort for the good of the whole. But there are also some individuals in the community who give of their time and talents day after day to make Cresswind a wonderful place to live. And here are a few of them . . .
Denny Allen: He sets up and cleans up the Crow’s Nest for Brew Ha Ha 6 days a week, and he has done so for many years.
Doug Geganto: He leads a group of volunteers promoting patriotism with the display of flags at various holidays throughout the year. He also lowers the clubhouse flag to half-staff whenever required.
Brenda Crosby: I call her the “keeper of the kiln”. She has monitored the need for maintenance and upkeep for the kiln for as long as I can remember.
Howie Mueller: Mr. Photographer. He has taken 100’s of pictures of events and shared them with the rest of the community on Facebook.
Leo Cortjens: Leo has spent countless hours planning and overseeing the improvements to the technology in the ballroom.
Ric Osterloh: Ric has seen the two paving projects through from their inception to the very end. In the bitterest of weather, he was even out directing traffic.
Abby Saccomanno: The subtle holiday/ seasonal decorations in the lobby are compliments of Abby. Her talent keeps things looking fresh for all.
Angie McClure: She spends hours upon hours proofreading the Waterfall before it goes to print.
Lynne Leibrecht, Wendy O’Hanlon, Wendy Warder, Eleanor Whalen, Mary Woulf, Maureen Morehead, Steve and Kathy Remsen, Charlie
Stotler, and Debbie Coursey-Prah: All of these residents have enhanced the fitness program through their willingness to lead or teach classes to others week in, week out.
Eleanor Whalen, Marilyn Glasser, Kathy
Stoessel, Sue Joninas, and Linda Gillot: These ladies shelve the books in the library and keep the selections current for the everyone to use.
A BIG THANK YOU to these residents who selflessly contribute to the rest of the community. (The only drawback to these accolades is the possibility of missing someone. And to those, I apologize for my lapse in memory.)
