JOIN TRIPP ON A DREAM WEEKEND WITH GWU'S SOCCER AND BASKETBALL TEAMS

Tripp, a spirited 15-yearold with a heart of gold, navigates the challenges of autism, especially in communication. Yet, his passion for sports serves as a bridge to deep connections with peers and friends. Whether immersed in LEGO games, Xbox, cars, or Adidas, or relishing the camaraderie of soccer, basketball, and tennis with organizations like KEEN and ACEing Autism, Tripp's zest for life shines brightly.

Tripp's parents' greatest wish is to witness his journey toward a joyful, healthy, and independent adulthood. The unwavering support from KTS and TLC has been pivotal in shaping his path toward realizing his potential. Active engagement in initiatives like Open Door Sports (ODS) further nurtures his growth. Through ODS, Tripp seized a remarkable opportunity to join the Dream on 3

2023 ANNUAL REPORT | THE TREATMENT AND LEARNING CENTERS PAGE 18

Collegiate Dream Team at GWU, fulfilling his dream of being a college athlete under the mentorship of Kelly Poole and Tim Nicholson.

Beyond his sporting endeavors, Tripp channels his passions and reflections through his own YouTube channel. His attendance at The Katherine Thomas School in Rockville, MD, where aspirations for college education thrive, ignited his interest in collegiate sports and his dream of meeting a college soccer player.

Tripp recently embarked on a dream weekend adventure with The George Washington University's Women's Soccer and Men's Basketball Teams, courtesy of Dream On 3. This unforgettable experience, meticulously orchestrated by the Dream On 3 Collegiate Dream Team (CDT), composed of GWU college students, underscored Tripp's resilience and the profound impact of community support.

From exploring DC's iconic landmarks to cheering on GWU's Women's Soccer team and participating in Men's Basketball activities, every moment brimmed with exhilaration. Tripp's boundless joy radiated as he relished the camaraderie of top athletes and the recognition he received during the events.

Tripp's mother, Christy Phillips, expressed deep gratitude to Dream On 3 and the GW Collegiate Dream Team for curating this transformative experience Witnessing Tripp's confidence soar and his skills flourish in such a nurturing environment left an indelible impression on both Tripp and his family.

Kelly Poole, a member of the CDT team, echoed this sentiment, describing Tripp's dream weekend as truly extraordinary. Being a part of Tripp's journey toward realizing his dream of becoming a GW athlete was an honor that left a profound impact.

Tripp's narrative serves as a poignant reminder of the boundless power of dreams, community, and steadfast support in nurturing resilience and growth. As he continues to pursue his aspirations, the TLC/KTS community stands by his side, ready to applaud every triumph along the way.
