Philip Sturrup, 75 affectionately called “Pitifull”

a resident of Sandiland’s Rehabilitation Centre and formerly of Young Street off Market Street who died on Sunday, June 11th, 2023 will be held at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, June 24th, 2023 at Our Lady’s Of The Holy Souls Catholic Church, Deveaux Street. Father Jonathan Duka will officiate. Interment will follow in the Southern Cemetery, Cowpen and Spikenard Roads.

He was predeceased by his parents: Samuel Sturrup and Zerline Mortimer; wife: Harriet Louis Taylor-Sturrup; sons: Roy Sturrup and Bernard Sturrup; stepdaughter: Carolyn Taylor; sister: Thersea Goodman.

a resident of Dundas Town, Marsh Harbor, Abaco, Bahamas died at his residence, Dundas Town, Abaco on Saturday, 17th June, 2023.

He is survived by his wife: Gail Sands; children: Sulton Sands, Sanfa Knowles, Justin Adams, Dellerese Smith, Larry Smith, Delano and Aaliyah Nesbitt; four brothers, two sisters, mother-in-law: Elaine Wilson and a host of other relatives and friends.

Final Rites are entrusted to Sweeting’s Colonial Mortuary, arrangements are being finalize and will be announced at a later date.
