Coming Before Yahweh The United Congregation of Israel expects its members and those visiting the congregation to adhere to the rules of decency and order as written in the Holy Scriptures. These rules are held in regards to the respective dress of the men, women and children. The rules deal with the cleanliness of the entire congregation of Israel as a nation on all Sabbaths, New Moons and Holy Days (Feast Days). Please understand that this is the standard protocol (laws) which Yahweh (YHWH) has given us and it is not limited to the United Congregation of Israel as an individual entity.
Appropriate Dress Men are not to wear shorts to congregation assemblies. Men are to wear long pants at all times with shirts that cover their loins. (A man's loins are his groin area which is located at the lower torso by your hips). Men who understand their roles as a priest are to cover their heads while in the House of YHWH. However, head coverings are optional for all men.
Males 12 and older need to adhere to the same rules and be dressed the same as the men. Women are NOT to wear make up, shorts, short skirts or pants to congregation assemblies. Women are to wear long dresses, tunics or skirts. (Pants are acceptable only under a long tunic or dress). Women are to wear scarves, wraps and any other form of complete head covering so that their hair is covered while in the house of Yahweh. Girls are to be dressed in the same fashion as the women. At the age of 12, girls should also come adorned with a head covering.
HOLY CONVOCATION Prayer over the sanctuary, prior to Holy Convocation, sanctifies it so that uncleanness will not prevent the Angel of YHWH, who stands at the door of the church, from communing with the body upon invitation. In this manner, the building or sanctuary in which we are gathered is blessed (holy) and the congregation will be edified by the message delivered. “For Yahweh thy Elohim walketh in the midst of thy camp, to deliver thee, and to give up thine enemies before thee; therefore shall thy camp be holy: that he see no
unclean thing in thee, and turn away from thee”. Deuteronomy 23:14
Uncleanness Laws of Uncleanness given to us by Moshe (Moses) and Aaron in the Book of Leviticus. Chapter 15, these laws discuss the menstrual cycle of a woman, Sexual relations between man and woman and other additional discharges of males and females. For a woman's menstrual cycle count 7 Days. Meaning, that once a woman’s menstrual cycle has begun, she, NOW has 7 days until she can return to YHWH's house. This is not just the UCI, but any congregation of Israel which keeps and observes YHWH Elohim’s Sabbaths, his Feast Days and his New Moons. A day is reckoned from even to even (sundown to sundown). The flow must end by ‘even’ on the 7th day after which she will wash and return to the congregation. (If the flow has not ended by the 7th day, she must begin a new 7-day count and remain separated until the flow finally ends by the 7th day).
Discharge Leviticus 15:25 And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if it runs beyond the time of her separation, all the days of the issue of her uncleanness, shall be as the days of her separation: she shall be unclean. A discharge, other than blood, that is not normal for you (men and women) would require separation for 7 days.
Sexual relations Leviticus 15:18 The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation; they shall both bathe themselves in water and be unclean until even (the evening). If you are unclean at this time, please govern yourself according to the scriptures. While unclean, each individual must separate themselves from the congregation during Sabbaths, New Moons and Feast Days. One is not to prepare food while separated but you can still pray unto YHWH. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 - Pray without ceasing.
“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear Elohim, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For Elohim shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
