The Last Day “For Elohim (God) so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. John 3:16 We all must admit that offering up a son, an only son, is the greatest display of love known to man. Have you ever loved anyone or anything in this manner? Have you ever had someone tell you that they loved you? If you have, then you know that the most anticipated response is to have that display of love reciprocated. The Most High God is no different. He greatly desires a display of love from those that love him. Most of us can not imagine such a sacrifice, but this display of love was not the only one of the sort. The Most High God of Israel knew that he would have to offer up his son to save the world, and he demonstrated that by the question he would ask the father of our faith. It was said to Abraham…Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. (Genesis 22:3) This was obviously a point of heaviness as it would be for any father, but Abraham attempted to obey. He journeyed, and on the third day he lifted up his eyes and saw the place afar off. (Genesis 22:4) Abraham lays his son down to sacrifice him…And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. “And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest Elohim (God), seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me”. Genesis 22:11-12 There are multiple parallels in the stories of Isaac and the messiah. Isaac being Abraham’s son was in the place of the messiah. The three day journey correlates to the time spent in the grave. The angel rescuing Isaac correlates to the messiah coming back to life on the third day. Since Abraham was the father of what would be called Israel, he would have to offer up his son, just as the creator would eventually do. Now obviously the most high does not require a display such as this in this day and time, but we must find a way to display our love for him. There are many different ways that this generation displays their love for the creator, but let’s see what his only begotten son says is the way to please him and the father. “If ye love me, keep my commandments”. John 14:15 “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me:…” John 14:21 So the great display of love that our creator expects from us is our obedience to his commandments.

The observance of his commandments is a sign that tells the most high that we love him. Most of us can name the commandments, and believe that we must still observe them. Do not murder, do not steal, do not bear false witness etc. The biggest point of contention with those that proclaim to believe in Christ is the upholding of the fourth commandment. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (Exodus 20:8) “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:”. Matthew 5:19 “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. And the same that said do not commit adultery, also said remember the Sabbath to keep it holy”. James 2:10-11 We must remember what was said in the beginning; Let us make man in our image. The first thing that was sanctified was the Sabbath, which means rest. We were made in his image and he did rest on the 7th day. We also must understand that a good son follows in the footsteps of the father. To be a good son you must do what the father does. The example that the messiah showed us was exactly that. He often spoke saying the words that I speak are not mine, but the father’s that sent me. He also spoke saying he came to do his father’s will. The father rested on the 7th day and so did the son. Now, if the son is our mediator and in whom we have access to the highest in his name, shouldn’t we do as the father and the son? “And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read”. Luke 4:16 “And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the Sabbath days”. Luke 4:31 Now most of us have heard the popular doctrine that the Sabbath was done away with at Christ’s death. The word Sabbath(s) appears 172 times in the bible. Sixty of those are in
the New Testament alone. The book of Acts is the formation of the new church, and we must consider that after the birth, death, and resurrection of Christ, his disciples, apostles, and proselyte converts are still observing the Sabbath! “And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures…” Act 17:2

“There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief”. Hebrew 4:9-11 Most of us are only aware of the natural Sabbath of the seventh day. The real Sabbath will be that millennial or Sabbatical kingdom that will bring a thousand years of peace to this earth. This will be the spiritual Sabbath. We must observe the natural if we desire to take part in the spiritual. We must labor to fight off the erroneous doctrines that Lucifer has placed amongst us in the earth. When that fight is over, then we may rest, because our adversary will be placed in chains for a thousand years. “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season”. Revelation 20:1-3
Please understand that spiritually, these thousand years is the last day. “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day”. 2 Peter 3:8 So the Most High has already placed a Sabbatical rest for us at the end, us that persevere to the end. “But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years”. Revelation 20:5-6 Most of us are unaware that there are two resurrections. The true believers will take place in the 1st resurrection and live in peace with Christ. This will be a glorious time as the earth will be cleansed and will be ruled by our God, King, High Priest, Yahshua.

Let us continue to labor to bring forth. Let us labor and become fruitful in the spirit. Let us labor that we may be found written the lamb’s book of life. Let us labor that we may be found worthy to enter into his rest, and keep his Sabbath. For specific instructions on the Sabbath, please go to our You Tube and watch the video “Honoring The Sabbath”.
