CONCLUSION OF AN ESSAY The function of the essay's Conclusion is to restate the main argument. It reminds the reader of the strengths of the argument: that is, it reiterates the most important evidence supporting the argument. The conclusion provides a forum for you to persuasively and succinctly restate your thesis given the reader has now been presented with all the information about the topic.
REVISION At the global level you revise and redraft to get your text right. So you pay attention to your overall argument, the logical flow of your ideas, the quality of your evidence. In the same way, you need to tackle each chapter, section, subsection, paragraph and even certain sentences.
EDITING Editing and proof reading attend to the detail and are better done after you've decided that you are basically happy with what you are saying.
