ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS
Faber Scholarship Partial-tuition
Scholarship awards range from $15,000 to $26,000 per year.
Recipients are typically in the top 40% of their high school class, have a minimum SAT score of 1080 or 21 ACT (Composite score) and a 2.95 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale). The average Faber award was $16,500 for the 2020-21 academic year.
Requirements for entry year 2020-21: • Minimum 1080 SAT score or 21 ACT (Composite score)* • Minimum 2.95 GPA (4.0 scale) • Top 40% of class * SAT/ACT Optional and Test Exempt applicants will also be reviewed for scholarship.
GRANTS
Presidential Scholarship Full-tuition
Xavier Grant
Presidential scholars are typically in the top 2% of their class, have a minimum SAT score of 1450 or 32 ACT (Composite score) and a GPA of 3.9 or higher (on a 4.0 scale). These are offered to a limited number of qualified students on a competitive basis in early February.
Dean’s Scholarship Partial-tuition
Recipients are typically in the top 20% of their class, with a minimum SAT score of 1360 or 29 ACT (Composite score) and a 3.5 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale), or are in the top 10% of their class, with a minimum SAT score of 1270 or 27 ACT (Composite score) and a 3.8 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale). The average Dean’s scholarship award was $23,000 for the 2020-21 academic year.
Loyola Scholarship Partial-tuition
Recipients are typically in the top 30% of their class and have a minimum SAT score of 1170 or 24 ACT (Composite score) and a 3.2 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale). The average Loyola scholarship award was $18,500 for the 2020-21 academic year.
Arrupe Scholarship Partial-tuition
Recipients are students of color who typically rank in the top 40% of their class, with a minimum SAT score of 1080 or 21 ACT (Composite score) and a 2.95 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale). The average Arrupe scholarship award was $18,000 for the 2020-21 academic year.
Recipients for this need-based award are selected after the FAFSA is filed and an estimate of an expected family contribution is calculated. The average award was $9,000 for the 2020-21 academic year.
Claver Grant This need-based award is awarded as a supplement to our Xavier Grant to students of color demonstrating financial need. The average award was $12,000 for the 2020-21 academic year.
