Welcome to the University of Winchester!
I am delighted to welcome you to our Open Day!
Today is all about giving you the opportunity to get a feel for what it is like to become a student at the University of Winchester.
We are a friendly, welcoming University community. We are driven by a love of learning and a real curiosity and passion for our subjects. At Winchester, our hope is that during your time with us, you will grow as a whole, confident and successful individual committed to a life of meaning and purpose. Above all, we want to help you to become the person that you want to be, studying the subject that you love and preparing for the job that you want to do-whatever that is.
Today gives you the opportunity to ask these questions that you may not have had the opportunity to do before, about what it is really like to study at the University. Do make sure that while you are here, you take a tour of our award-winning accommodation and stunning campus. I hope too that you are able to get out and see the city while you are here. It is such a beautiful and exciting place to live and study.
From all of us at Winchester, may I again say how delighted we are to have you with us today. Above all, enjoy yourself - and do speak to our friendly team of staff or students - we’re all here to help! I do hope that you decide to become part of our University and I look forward to welcoming you back to the University of Winchester soon.
