hen Lyla Syrja and Jennifer Beirnes opened Treehouse Toys & Gifts last November, they knew they wanted to create something special and unique. Their tagline “Not your average toy store” represents what they are trying to accomplish. The women, who were born and raised in Jasper, Alberta, decided to open the store because they thought it would be fun to do. So far, it has been. Their location on Patricia Street is a great central location where they can really enjoy being a part of the community, they said. Despite being open for almost a year, the proprietors said that locals still come in for the first time surprised at the uniqueness of the store and the items it carries.
Apart from items such as origami kits and brightly coloured plastic chandeliers, the ladies said they try to focus on items that offer educational opportunities, like the vinegar and baking soda rocket science experiment that launches into the air. Many of the store’s items are eco-friendly and they try to support independent manufacturers. Also found in the store are some of the favourite classics, such as Jacob’s ladder, and the ball and cup toy. For adults, Treehouse has silly kitchen items like the Stonehenge ice cube trays and twirling spaghetti forks. “We have things for the people who have everything. We try to be as different as possible,” said store owner, Lyla. Walking through the store, one can’t help but agree. Treehouse Toys & Gifts is currently open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Store hours will change for the winter season.

Locals continue to help battle fire in North Donalda Beeson Contributor
W
e have received an update on the status of the Watson Lake, Yukon Wildfire and the local Volunteer Fire Fighters that are there assisting in battling the blaze. Valemount Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief, Rick Lalonde, confirmed that they are still in Watson Lake, and have been there for a week now. Lalonde is in the company of three McBride Volunteer Fire Fighters, Aaron Starlund, Matt Slaney, and Travis Wall, as well as Ryan Zanette from the Beaverly Fire Department, which is located just outside Prince George, as well as Chief Bryan Kembale from the Ferndale Tabor Fire Department. The group travelled a full 16 plus hours, from Prince George to Watson Lake, on Highway 97, passing through Fort St John, due to a closure on Highway 37. As updated on BCwildfire.ca at press time, the Cassiar Highway Fire, south of the Yukon Border, has grown to 25,000 hectares in size, and is still growing, however
Lalonde assures us this is normal fire behaviour. According to the website, the fire, thought to be the result of lighting, was first discovered Tuesday, July 27, and continues to burn more than two weeks later, fueled by high temperatures and wind. The good thing is that, “all structures within the vicinity of the fire have been protected with sprinkler protection units,” thanks in part to Lalonde and the crew, who told us last week they are “attached to a sprinkler protection unit from the Prince George area.” Lalonde said that, as far as career training goes this is “great experience” for everyone, especially the Volunteer Fire Fighters, as it will really “round out” their experience. Travellers should still be prepared to wait, with adequate fuel and supplies, or take the alternate route via Highway 97, as Highway 37, south of the Yukon border is still closed in both directions, with only temporary openings between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., when conditions are safe. You can check for current updates at DriveBC.ca.

any of you have likely heard that from September 9th – 16th, I will be one of a couple dozen bike riders who will be making a trek along Highway 16 from Prince George to Prince Rupert. I certainly didn’t volunteer for this gruelling pedal powered endeavour just for my health. I am riding as a “Cops for Cancer” participant as part of an annual event to raise money for cancer research. Everyone is touched by cancer in some respect. We may be fortunate to not suffer from it but we likely can name a close family member or friend who has been taken from us far too early. For those who have or continue to suffer a cure can not be found fast enough. I would like to ask your support for this ride. In total the ride will cover about 860 kms, which includes a side trip to and from Ft St James. The funds raised do not go to the riders or any expenses to cover the ride itself. Fundraising and sponsorship has been secured such that all expenses on the ride are covered. Monies raised by each rider go 100% to cancer funding and programs. This year’s Tour money raised will go to Pediatric Research, support programs for children diagnosed with cancer (and their families), as well as Camp Goodtimes.

the tracks, have fire prevention plans, mandatory basic training for their employees, and a system for fire detection and reporting. “They have to have equipment in place, and if it can be proven that they aren’t complying with that then there is a process we can use to deal with it.” Husband said that the public is a major part of the enforcement process, as if residents feel there are issues not being addressed they are encouraged to contact the local fire base, who will in turn send people out to assess the concerns. “Part of the responsibility of the local fire zone is hazard assessment. If people have concerns they should go see Bob Gray at the local fire base.” CN Media Spokesperson, Warren, Chandler, said that CN does take precautions to prevent fires from occurring along the tracks. “One of the things we do is vegetation control, to limit the potential of dry vegetation catching fire. We also perform regular inspections and maintenance on all of our locomotives to ensure that they are not a significant fire risk. We utilize current technology measures to constantly monitor our rail and our trains, and our crews who operate our locomotives have a reporting system in place in case they do spot a fire. We work extremely closely with local fire crews to ensure an emergency response plan is preSOLAR HOT WATER SYSTEMS

pared.” Chandler added that CN does not grind their rails during periods of high fire risk. “It is a form of maintenance we perform on an annual basis but we would not perform that during a fire warning.” If the public does spot a fire along the tracks, Chandler said the best course of action would be to call the local fire fighters as opposed to CN. “We leave the handling of the fires to the professionals. We just do our best to prevent them, as well as notification.” Chandler also said that if anyone has concerns about any aspect of CN’s operations during forest fire season they are asked to call the public enquiry line and they would review the concerns.

» DAVE MARCHANT
The NEED to travel “…and I think I might be addicted to that feeling of being excited about something new, in a general sense.” The last six months, and possibly six years, led up to the epiphany that came, six miles out of Rivas, sitting squished between Nicaraguans I hardly knew, in the back of a sweaty station wagon that smelled as much like a sardine tin as it felt like, fording down a hot and humid country road, erratically passing ox carts and entire families riding on one peddle bike, listening to insistent Spanish chatter that I half understood and now that I did, half wish I didn’t, because to the best of my knowledge and translating abilities, they’re talking about my, “tetas ricas,” or delicious breasts, and I realized, I was bored. None of this was strange and exciting anymore, none of it was foreign. And the smell of hot garbage broiling in the Nicaraguan sun, roadside billboards and national sports events sponsored by Gatorade, Pepsi, and Jesus, active volcanoes, tenfoot-waves and men that open doors, walk between you and traffic, introduce you to their families before you even agree to go out with them, AND, salsa dance, just didn’t interest me anymore. And for a split second I was considering where to book my next ticket too. I imagined getting off the plane in the middle of the night, breathing the air, hot like home has never known, the sweet smell of sugar cane, the exciting whiz of a taxi driving defensively down the Pan American highway, arriving promptly to my destination where I absolutely melt for the poetic sound of a foreign language. I wanted to feel that again, only I’m painfully aware that it would have to be somewhere new. I wondered if this is why people become travel addicts, Gypsies, in the light sense of the word, spending more time migrating than staying, because at some point, everything normalizes, and you stop hearing the firecrackers, loud speakers claiming every night is the “uuuuuuuulllllltimaaaaaaaa noche a la Crazy Crab discotecha,” and bus and taxi drivers bellowing, competing for your attention and I think trying to convince you that you need to go to, “Rrrriiiivas, Rrriiivas, Rrrrivvvas, Managua, Rrrrivas!!!” But before it was too late and I headed off to chase the next travel rainbow, I realized travelling is like falling in love. You may be tempted to look for something new once the initial passion runs out, but the real pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is what grows from being able to stay, and immerse yourself in that place or feeling that has become normalized in your life. Once things are common, we can explore, more, further and deeper. And I realized I didn’t NEED to travel anymore, just as I don‘t NEED to fall in love anymore, because the real gift is in staying. Of course I will travel again and fall in love again, but I will never fall victim to that feeling of needing to do it. And right now I am content to revel in the prospect of rediscovering home. This home. The wonderful Robson Valley.

Two thoughts Dear Editor;
W
e are so lucky to be living in Valemount and to be able to help one another. Angus and I are too old for any physical work but we can afford to pay those who are able. We will have at least 40 acres of land to put into grain. We will build a water wheel power grinder to grind wheat, oats, barley and rye for those in need. Solar Power, Hydro Electricity with a tank in the attic will heat our water. We will request the height of the Bennett Dam to be lower so that the valuable fossils and trees will be uncovered and the water will not cover the land. On a different note: Our new Seniors Complex looks good but perhaps should have a Common Room for all to gather.

Recall all the MLAs Dear Editor;
T
he HST petition signatures have been counted and verified. In other words, the voting public of British Columbia obeyed all the Election BC rules and fulfilled every requirement for a petition of the people to the government. Now a bureaucrat, in the form of the Chief Elections Officer, an employee of the Campbell government, has refused to take the necessary legal action on this request of the voters. What is more, acting Chief Electoral Officer Craig James withheld the results of the petition count until after 4:30 pm, before coming up with the shocking news the will of the voters was going to be ignored. The phoney lawsuit brought against the voters of BC by the Chambers of Commerce and Big Business has no legal right to stop or delay the Petition being sent to committee or brought before the Legislature. This is just a ruse being used by the Chief Electoral Officer so he can obey his masters in Victoria. The Campbell government has thrown off any pretence of democracy. They have revealed the truth;
British Columbia is being run by little dictators who wipe their feet on the public. We must recall every Liberal MLA currently sitting, and tell them to forget putting their names on any future ballot, because their political careers are over. The HST has already damaged the fragile recovering economy of BC. Already we are hearing about friends of the BC Government who will get even larger tax exemptions. This will ensure the friendly folks in the U.S. can come here and make their films while standing on the backs of the poor and aged in this province. It will ensure the biggest companies will get more tax writeoffs and deferrals while Old Age Pensioners, needy children and the working poor will have to pay out more and more for food, to keep up their homes and to travel. If the people of BC have any backbones at all, now is the time to write, phone, and email Shirley Bond and tell her in no uncertain terms exactly what we think of her party and this newest crooked action. Annual Duck race questions answered Birgit Stutz Contributor
W
hat happened at the Duck Races this year? Some community members are wondering, so they came to us. The annual event usually sees locals buying tickets, which correspond to around 500 numbered rubber ducks that are then released into Swift Creek, upstream of George Hicks Park. The buoyant birds bounce off each other and any other hurdles, as they “race” down the creek to be the first ducky to squeak past the finish line, located just past of the Swift Creek Bridge.
teers worked hard and put in a lot of time organizing and selling tickets.” Anthony further explained that, “basically the water had risen to a level that would not allow the buoy to stay above [it], so we had no way to catch the 500 Ducks as they made their way downstream.” As well, she said “the high waters made it dangerous for the volunteers to walk along the banks [in order to] steer any rogue ducks off the rocks and back into the race.” Apparently, “notices were placed at the Park and the fair grounds to let people know of the changes [and that] the draw [would be] held at the fair grounds and the winners contacted by tele-
“all of the parent volunteers worked hard and put in a lot of time organizing and selling tickets.” ~Lee-Anne Anthony
Taking over for the Seniors Society, this year marked the first year that the Valemount Children’s Activity Society hosted the annual Duck Races. LeeAnne Anthony, a Children’s Activity Society board member, and casual employee, was the woman who organized it all. Anthony said, “The volunteers arrived at the George Hicks Park the morning of the race, but after several attempts at stringing the buoy that catches the ducks across the river, without any luck, we reluctantly cancelled the race and changed the event to be a draw.” She added that it was very disappointing as, “all of the parent volun-
phone.” Valemount local, Dennis Martens, took first place in the raffle. The Second and Third place winners names could not be located at this time. Anthony emphasized that, “we had a great time planning the races, and hope that next year we will see continued support from the community.” She would also like to thank the community and let them know that this year’s “funds raised went toward upgrades to the Valemount Children’s Activity Society.”
The ducks didn’t swim down Swift Creek this year as part of the annual event that was recently taken over by the Valemount Children’s Activity Society. According to the society, the water in Swift Creek was too high this year to safely hold the race, although local resident Dennis Martens’ duck was drawn at a later date.

Robson Valley Music Festival August 20th - 22nd 2010 FISH & BIRD They have arrived at gigs and festivals near you in a sailboat, on a train, and most famously in a right-hand drive Delica van powered by used vegetable oil. They handle their records like works of art, each CD case hand-stamped or silk-screened on recycled paper. Their Joanna Chapman-Smith is a fiddle-banjo-guitar sound has set boots to stomping in powerful young woman who has seedy bars, at house concerts and at festivals from the been making waves on the folk West Coast to the East Coast. They may be Canada’s latscene since 2002. Alone on stage, est, greatest and most heartfelt counter to mass-manusitting atop a percussion rig made factured music. Who, or what, is Fish & Bird? out of a suitcase and outnumbered The music of Fish & Bird is rooted in an authentic by instruments, she charms unaslove for folk music, but it’s a tough love that doesn’t stop suming crowds into singing along them from showing the genre a little abuse. They have and letting themselves be carried been compared to an “old timey Radiohead” – the kind away into her world that questions of thing that might have resulted if a lost tribe of artright and wrong, mind and body, school rockers discovered a crate full of banjos, fiddles permanence and impermanence. and old records washed up on the shore. By turns dark, “She rises above the herd of folkie funny, spirited and smart, the songs that result always singer songwriters, her musical self-portrait painted with an un- grab you – sometimes roughly, sometimes with a sweet usually large pallette of moods & colours”. www.joannacs.com and lyrical touch.

THE F-HOLES Don’t let their tongue-in-cheek name fool you, rather let their raucous live performance be a testament to their unique blend of country, dixieland, and Manitoba roots music. Combining rockabilly bass, jazz banjo, bluegrass trumpet, surf guitar and swingin’ drums, The F-Holes provide a diverse yet distinct sound. The F-Holes blend of Country, Dixieland and Blues music will be sure to get you up out of you’re chair and dancing! Since forming in Winnipeg in 2004, The F-Holes have shared the stage with the likes of Juno nominated artists Elliot Brood, Twilight Hotel, Nathan and The Perpetrators, as well as The Weber Brothers and Dan Frechette. They have entertained a wide variety of audiences ranging from the Children’s Fringe Festival and the Festival du Voyageur, to the Manitoba Stampede and the Fire and Water Music Festival. Their unmistakable vintage inspired sound and zeal for live performance has garnered them acclaim from an array of critics and audiences alike. Working with Juno nominated and Western Canadian Music Award winning Len Milne at Bedside Studios, The F-Holes released their debut self titled album in March 2009. The album was recorded in part live off the floor and on two inch tape with the intent to fully capture the band’s live sonic intricacies. This collection of songs has earned rave reviews and showcases the band’s attention to musicianship, clever arrangements and honest songwriting. With their unique instrumentation, The F-Holes create a style bending and intriguing musical experience that is truly their own. www.thefholes.ca. The F-holes will be performing at Robson Valley on Friday night!

Some of Canada’s biggest folk festivals have been paying attention, as have the Canadian Folk Music Awards. CBC Radio and college radio stations across Canada have played songs off of both albums. . The shows are a growing legend, hundreds in number. They have covered over 50,000 km by land and sea to bring their unique brand of art folk from Folk Music Festival events in Victoria and Vancouver, to clubs in Montreal and Halifax. So, are you driving the Trans Canada? Do you hear the notes of a banjo, played claw-hammer style, wafting on the wind? Is that a right-hand drive van in the next lane, smelling ever-so-faintly of french fries or tempura? If so, my friend, drive faster to the next town and catch the Fish & Bird show. It’s what keeps them coming back out on stage night after night – a passion to perform for as many people as they can get to listen. And trust me, you should be listening. www.fishandbird.ca Fish & Bird will be performing at Robson Valley Festival this year! Don’t miss your chance to see these stars on the rise...

and her personality and storytelling add an intimacy to her shows regardless of the size of venue. Her busy tour schedule reflects her love for performing having completed 200 shows last year alone. Linda also writes a monthly column for BC Musician’s Magazine entitled “This Winding Road”. www.lindamcrae.com “When all the trends fade and become dated, and all the music from the cutting edge becomes dull, Linda McRae will continue to stand tall, singing and playing music with honest soul and humility, cutting through the fog with her timeless clarity. Linda is one of the true, soulful pioneers of honest roots music. Her singing and playing brings honour to her heroes and to her friends and fans.” Colin Linden (Grammy Nominee, Producer, Guitarist for Bruce Cockburn, Emmy Lou Harris, Krauss & Plant).

Earth Bound Set to Rock-the-Valley By Donalda Beeson As if you needed another reason to head out to Dunster for the 5th annual, one and only, Robson Valley Music Festival, here is one more! Earthbound. You may have caught Earthbound when they were here performing at the Valemount Spring Festival, and if not you better be sure to this time. Based out of Kamloops B.C., they are excited to be bringing their endless supply of good vibes, and body moving beats, to our beautiful Valley this weekend. Earthbound is set to take the stage Friday night around midnight, August 20th. Earthbound’s producer, Mark Greenhalgh was absolutely “awe-struck” when he first heard Earthbound play, and said he could not sign the papers fast enough. Since their signing with One World Records, they have gone on to release their self-titled debut CD. They were also awarded the Best New Group/Artist award in 2007, at the B.C. Interior Music Awards. Earthbound describes themselves as “A collection of individuals dedicated to positive, uplifting music, presented in the key of ‘shake that ass’.” They are a cast of six musicians and at least one artist, that “embrace a collection of feels: [such as] funk, R&B, soul, reggae, world flavours,” and are “known to incorporate Phat loops and electronica components into [their] sound.” From a variety of musical backgrounds, united they generate an undeniable, utterly danceable energy. Kira Gosselin, who is currently completing a solo project as well, has the voice of an intra-genre goddess, with sweltering vocals and evocative lyrics. Her positivity is infectious and flows into the equally gifted keyboard, guitar, saxophone, sitar, per-
cussion, and back-up vocal talents of Evan Wilds. In rhythm and other sections are Peter Mehrfert, the bass-man, Kevin How on trombone, guitar, and percussion, Graham How with trumpet, percussion, and sound engineering talents, Craig McKay on Da Kit and percussion, and finally Kira’s partner, Chad Gosselin bringing in some style with his graphics and logo designs. So polish up your dancing shoes and come join us and this larger than life musical assembly, and many others, at the Robson Valley Music Festival this year.

Disturbing anti logging vandalism at Interpretive Forest Joshua Estabrooks
editor@thevalleysentinel.com
S
EMPLOYMENT
ome disturbing vandalism was discovered recently at the Spittal Creek Interpretive Forest on Highway 16, just west of Tete Jaune. The popular stopping point for travellers is located next to a working wood lot, and it seems that whoever visited the interpretive forest last week took offence to the logging activity which is targeting pine beetle attacked pine. The main entrance sign was defaced with anti logging sentiments; as well some signs indicating active logging was occurring in the area were damaged. The most disturbing damage, and whether it was related or not is still under investigation, occurred on Wednesday evening, when equipment contractor, Dan Cuddeback, discovered one of his processors had some sort of corrosive liquid splashed over the door and windshield. Cuddeback said he had a mechanical breakdown, and had to leave the site for about two hours, and upon his return discovered the vandalism. “I got my son to go operate the machine and he came back and said there was something all over the door and the window. I went over there and I thought the operator had spilt some diesel or something on it, so I put it on my finger and I tasted it. That was the wrong thing to do because it absolutely burnt my mouth and went down my throat.” Cuddeback quickly tried to use some dirt to neutralize the effects of the mysterious substance, but said that it lingered for close to an hour and a half. “It was some kind of acid because it hurt like hell. My son got some on his hands and touched his nose and it burnt.” The liquid was all over the main entry door, said Cuddeback, the windshield, and had even dripped down into his toolbox, contaminating many of his tools. “When we wiped it off with paper towels it was a reddish brown colour. My machines were located straight above the interpretive sign, but I have no idea who would have done something like this.” The licensees, long time residents Cliff and Ainslie Jackman, have been trying to find a solution to the pine beetle epidemic on the woodlot for approximately four years, said Ainslie Jackman, who is a registered professional forester, but have been unable to stop the spread of the pest. “People are trying to deal with the mountain pine beetle the best they can. We have spent four years doing salvage and trying to mange for the beetle, but after a while you just say forget it. That wood is dry and checking and the mills won’t buy it much longer, so we are trying to make something with what is left. The best forest management in my opinion is to take the pine. We leave the fir where we can but we do have some blow down. We need to get it out while there’s still a market for the wood.” Due to the extensive beetle damage, the woodlot, which is around 300 hectares in size, is being clearcut, essentially, said Jackman, but there is no alternative. “We’re sorry to log but we have to. If we didn’t go in there you’d just have a grey dead forest.” By
logging the area, there is a requirement to re forest it as well, said Jackman, so a new forest will be growing much sooner than if it was simply left to die and fall over on it’s own. The Jackman’s have also committed to making sure the interpretive trail, which currently runs through the woodlot, will be re-established rerouted, if necessary, once the logging has been completed. “We may reroute the trail but we will either clean up the original trail if it makes sense or if not we will do something similar.” David Greer, Communications Manager for the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, said that a replacement sign would cost around $2,000. “It’s just really disappointing as this is a day use facility and people bring their families here. It is ironic that the interpretive forest sign was vandalized, as interpretive forests serve as an example of the diverse ways a forest is used, and in this case a working forest has been transformed into a recreation area for the community and visitors.” Greer also stated that interpretive forests are valuable places, as they provide an outdoor classroom experience for those not familiar with the way in which forests are managed. “They provide an opportunity for the public to see how recreation, timber and wildlife values of a forest are managed. And in many cases, interpretive forests involve interest groups within a community.”

Three locals to take part in Edmonton marathon Donalda Beeson Contributor
V
alemount should be proud to have three locals representing their loved ones, themselves, and us, as they participate in this year’s Intact Insurance Canadian Derby Edmonton Marathon. Commencing August 21st, participants will have a maximum of six hours to run or walk, either a half marathon at 21.2 kilometres, or the full thing at 42 kilometres. Silvia Jungo, who said, “Everyone can walk,” will be walking her 5t half mara-
thon. She usually finishes in 3-3 ¼ hours and says she is only, “racing against [her] self.” Jungo said the events are always well organized, with lots of paramedics on scene. She also said that the participants are almost always helpful to each other, and that walkers are starting to be more accepted and respected in the marathon world. Jungo, who participates all over B.C. and Alberta, with her partner Bogdan Wasaznik asserted “we do it for fun…it’s not about winning.” As evident by the countless medals and ribbons lining a display case on the wall of their recently acquired, Swiss
Bakery, Bogdan Wasaznik, has run in over thirty full marathons. He is an absolute machine and has been running the uphill Swift Creek loop everyday in preparation for this marathon and another in Kelowna in October. Jungo said proudly, Wasaznik “always finishes, no matter what,” one time he even walked the last 15 kilometres with a knee injury. Another local participant, Lorelei Schneider, will be running her first ever, full marathon. Schneider, who said she has “always wanted to run a marathon,” has been gradually building up her endurance to run the full 42 kilometres,
through an 18-week program. She is thankful to have had her water boy/husband Dean Schneider in tow, and to be accompanied by him and her son Zack. She will be running in memory of her mother, and so far has raised $1,800.00 in donations for diabetes. Schneider said she is surprised at how many offers she has had, without even asking. If you would like to make a pledge, you can still donate by going to teamdiabetes. ca, and making a pledge under participant name, Lorelei Schneider. The Sentinel wishes the participants luck and God speed.

Peter Kolida and Riley Nordli prepare to go head to head at the Annual Men’s Open Golf Tournament at the Valemount Pines over the weekend. The two were tied for first place after two days of golfing. Kolida took some time out from his mental preparations for the playdown on Sunday to thank the Valemount Pines, and his parents for leaving the door unlocked on Saturday night, so he could get a good nights sleep after getting home at 3:48 a.m. Nordli and Kolida said they are grateful for the entertainment provided by Junior Osadchuk during the tournament, and to Owen Torgerson for his expert demonstration of the Butterfly Swim Maneuver in the water hazard on Saturday night. Riley Nordli ended up winning the play off with Kolida, but Kolida did come in first in the horse race with Gary Forman.

HOROSCOPES
ARIES - Mar 21/Apr 20 Take some time for introspection, Aries. You need to slow down and focus on recharging your inner batteries. Otherwise you run the risk of overdoing it.
LEO - Jul 23/Aug 23
SAGITTARIUS-Nov 23/Dec21
Speak your mind, Leo. Others are just waiting to hear what you have to say. When it comes between choosing a friend or a family member, go with family.
There’s not much room for error with a current situation, Sagittarius. Therefore, make sure you dot all of your “i”s and cross all of your “t”s this week.
VIRGO - Aug 24/Sept 22 TAURUS - Apr 21/May 21 Slow down and take in the scenery, Taurus. You’ve been missing out on quite a bit by hustling all the time. You meet up with a friend on Tuesday.
Virgo, control will be difficult to garner this week, so avoid starting any important projects. Better to leave them for when you are in the driver’s seat.
LIBRA - Sept 23/Oct 23 GEMINI - May 22/Jun 21 Gemini, a tricky situation arises and you have to weigh all your options before making a decision. Put all of your thoughts on paper to make things more coherent.
CANCER - Jun 22/Jul 22 Cancer, when others turn to you for advice you really don’t know what to say. While you enjoy being friendly and outgoing, you don’t want to hinder relationships with the wrong advice.
WEDNESDAY
Libra, someone is going to come to your rescue. You just don’t know who this person will be just yet. Keep an eye out for your guardian angel.
SCORPIO - Oct 24/Nov 22 It seems like you don’t have much luck lately, Scorpio. It could take a while for things to turn around for the better. Hang on and be patient for a little while longer.
THURSDAY
FRIDAY
CAPRICORN- Dec 22/Jan 20 Capricorn, someone questions your authority this week and you don’t have the strength to get into an argument about it. Instead, pay no attention and go about your business.
AQUARIUS - Jan 21/Feb 18 You feel backed against a wall, Aquarius, and rightly so. Instead of worrying about every little thing, check out the bigger picture. You could be surprised by the results
PISCES - Feb 19/Mar 20 Pisces, take the time to get to know a new neighbor. This person could be that close friend you have been seeking.
