Joe Bastardi, senior meteorologist for WeatherBell Analytics, will be the special guest speaker at the next meeting of the Susquehanna Valley Conservatives on Monday, February 13, at 7 pm in the Baylor Conference room at the Best Western Hotel on Rt. 15 in Lewisburg.

Joe is nationally known for his commentary on national television covering major weather events and has written hundreds of blogs, columns and two books on Climate Change including ‘The Weaponization of Weather’ and ‘Climate Chronicles’. He suggests that man-made carbon emissions are not sufficient to cause the warming of the climate and points out that there are some benefits from the

present warming trend. He will share some of his latest research on the effects of volcanic activity on the climate.

Bastardi received his degree in Meterology from Penn State University where he also was a varsity wrestler. He was previously employed for many years by AccuWeather and his forecasts have been presented around the world. The meeting is free and open to the public.
