Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at The Villa As Christmas fast approaches and another year comes to an end, we look back on 2017 with fond memories. We have had a fantastic year and can’t believe how fast it has flown by. We will take pleasure in knowing that when we leave 2017, our guests and friends of The Villa will mark this year as much as a success as we do. Speaking of success, I am delighted to inform you The Villa are finalists once again for the 2017 Lancashire Tourism Awards for The Best Small Hotel Award and Taste Lancashire Award. We are extremely proud of these nominations, fingers crossed all will be revealed at the awards dinner on Thursday 9th November! It has been a buoyant 2017 with many more Weddings, Functions, Conferences, Afternoon Teas and Dinners. We have had a wonderful time sharing with our guests and friends in their unforgettable, special occasions and we look forward to welcoming many more guests in the coming year. But 2017 is not over yet and the festive period at The Villa is one of the most exciting times of the year for us. Given last year’s success, we are relaunching our delicious Festive Afternoon Tea. Available from the 13th November, The Villa will be serving this festive treat right through until the 31st December (excluding Christmas Day). We are also taking bookings for Christmas Parties, Lunch and Dinner. Plus bookings for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and not forgetting our celebratory Burns Evening on Saturday 27th January 2018. 100th Birthday At The Villa Margaret Tewkesbury celebrated her 100th Birthday at The Villa Wrea Green on Monday 7th August 2017 with her daughter Jacqueline Hill and some of Margarets dearest friends.

Testimonials Angie and David Taylor came to see us on Monday 10th July for a late Lunch. They mentioned they really liked the Villa and had been three times before. They have recently decided to move to Wrea Green from Rossendale. Angie said the staff were most friendly and they were made to feel very welcome. With two beautiful little girls the couple decided they weren’t going to honeymoon just yet. "When the possibility of holding a Triple wedding at The Villa was requested, Lancashire Registration Service were delighted to work closely with the couples and the venue to be able to arrange and fully support the ceremony. No-one within Lancashire Registration Service can recall ever taking a triple wedding ceremony before in Lancashire and therefore it would be a ground-breaking ceremony. The registrars for the ceremony, Philip Gower and Christine Lee ensured that the arrangements for the ceremony were meticulously planned and that everything went as expected. "It was a real privilege to both plan and conduct this ceremony and we wish all three couples to have very long and happy marriages."
We chose the Villa to host our wedding ceremony and reception in June 2017, we are so glad we did. With the challenge of hosting the 1st Triple Wedding in Lancashire Kathryn and her team made sure they day ran smoothly with no hitches. The food and service were amazing, all the staff were wonderful, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. All our guest agreed it was a lovely venue and enjoyed the day/night celebrating with us all. I can’t recommend the Villa highly enough.
