It has been a fun-filled year. I had the opportunity to meet a lot of new people, as well as to make some new friends along the way. I gained knowledge with regards to finance, politics and negotiation that I will LIGUORItake away from this presTHOMPSON idency, which has provided strength for both my skills and perspective. I look forward to 2017, as I will continue to serve the Board of Directors as an Executive Officer. I am sincerely proud to be a part of such a great organization. In 2016, our board conducted numerous events, some with specific impact to our community. This past April, the Board hosted a Community Home Week
event, which gave me the opportunity to meet young artists from our poster and essay contests. We also recognized a few area small businesses; such as the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, Ohio Commerce Center, and the New You Hair, Nails & More, with recognition of their community pride and involvement. Additionally, the proceeds from our annual Charity Golf Scramble, held in July, benefited the Children’s Rehabilitation Center located in Howland. I want to acknowledge and thank Roberta and Erin, our board office staff, for all their hard work and dedication to our organization. They made my presidency a year to remember. Last, but certainly not least, I need to thank my husband, Tom, and daughter Maria. Tom attended several events with me this year, and I truly appreciate and love him for that. Maria likewise attended events and volunteered. It is their support that truly made my year amazing.
