THEME AND DETAILS – Forest Vibes

Even though the lovebirds tied the knot in tropical Singapore, that didn’t stop them from recreating the moody hues of autumn indoors. It was their favourite season after all, and a really romantic one too!

To achieve this, they filled the venue with lots of ferns and eucalyptus leaves, adding pops of colour in the form of burnt orange and mustard yellow flowers, along with wisps of blush pink. The other elements of their theme were more personal, and it was clear that the couple had considered their guests every step of the way, from their attendance right down to the favours.

We had a very small and intimate wedding, which also meant all of our guests were close family and friends whom we wanted present to witness our union. The feeling was very surreal, and it was a mix of so many emotions.

FIRST LOOK

We love how the bride eschewed tradition for a first look, as well as her slightly unconventional but no less stunning bridal gown. Her groom must have been completely floored.

As part of their first look, the couple took the opportunity to read their vows to each other before the ceremony. This was a celebration of their union, and it was only right that there would be moments that were just for them and them alone.

CEREMONY

Walking down the aisle before she said “I do” in front of a handful of close family and friends, the bride (and her groom) really showed how much having their loved ones there to witness their union meant to them.

Her bridal bouquet was absolutely breathtaking against her glittery dress, which looked so glamorous and dramatic.

VENUE – The Fullerton Hotel, Singapore

Since the venue was indoors and bright white from floor to ceiling, the bride worked with their chosen florist, ‘The Flower Library’, to recreate the outdoors. The contrast of the dark colours against the white made everything stand out even more, and just the right amount of décor elements peppered the room – too little and it would have been too sparse; too much and it would have been over the top.

RECEPTION

“For the cocktail reception area, we wanted something different, so our friends set up a grazing table with figs, breadsticks, cheeses, fruits and more,” said the bride. The table fit the theme of their wedding day perfectly – everything seemed as if it were overflowing with abundance.

The reception was also where the newlyweds wanted to say “thank you” to their guests for being with them on this special day. Personalised agate slices served as both wedding favours and place cards, while a customised guestbook with illustrations of all the guests meant the newlyweds had a beautiful keepsake from their wedding to have in their new home.
