Her attention to detail and awareness of our needs were what we really loved, we knew that she would go over and above to make sure she got all the shots we wanted. We originally had our date set for June 6th, 2020 and handpicked all our vendors. Picking the colour scheme, theme and florals was my favourite part. Being a florist, it was something I had thought about for a while! After putting our vision together, we were devastated to have to postpone when COVID hit and kept getting worse and worse. We tried to hang on to our original date but shortly after we postponed we went into our first lockdown so we were happy we made the decision when we did. As COVID-19 restrictions were often vague and open to interpretation, we had a few hiccups with vendors who were not feeling comfortable doing certain things. We didn’t ask for anything against the rules but with their livelihoods at stake it was completely understandable that some vendors erred on the side of caution. We brought in a few more vendors to fill the gaps and made it work. Leading up to the day it was very nerve wracking thinking that one day we would have an announcement stating we weren’t allowed to go through with our guest count (which had already been reduced from 139 to 50). Even a few days before the wedding we had a few people not able to come due to potential COVID risks. It was stressful but in the end it was all worth it. I’m so grateful we were able to celebrate with even the small number of family and friends." - A •
