Always with me

WEDDING DATE: February 9th, 2020 LOCATION: Cambridge Mill (www.cambridgemill.ca), Cambridge, ON PHOTOGRAPHY: Anne Edgar Photography + Film (♥) (www.anneedgarphoto.com) Cambridge, ON "We found Anne Edgar through Cambridge Mill. We had a meeting with her to see her work, and to make sure that we matched in style. We were sold on her skills, professionalism, and genuine love of her work. Our favourite part of working with Anne was how friendly and fun she was during the whole process! ALSO, we were updated with teaser photos less than two weeks after the wedding, and we received our full wedding album within a month. Absolutely amazing with timelines!" - C&L GUEST #: 150 COLOUR PALETTE: Navy/Royal Blue, Ivory and Green BRIDE ATTIRE: Crème Couture (♥) (www.cremecouture.ca) Guelph, ON BRIDE + WEDDING PARTY ATTIRE: Traditional Filipino formal wear HAIR & MAKEUP: 519 Bridal Beauty (www.519bridalbeauty.ca) Guelph, ON FLORAL: The Saol Project (www.thesaolproject.com) Guelph, ON DJ: EJ Entertainment (www.ejentertainment.net) Vaughan, ON PLANNER: Barbara Grace Weddings BUBBLE TEA BAR: Sweet Dreams Teashop (@sweet.dreams.teashop) Waterloo, ON LION DANCERS: Chung's Martial Arts Academy (www.chungsmartialartsacademy.com) Markham, ON TELL US YOUR STORY: "Our story is definitely something that we both didn't expect to happen and it is always an exciting story to tell. We met in 2012 when we were both living in Ottawa and became fast friends but the timing wasn't right. A year and a half later, we reconnected in Toronto and decided to try to be more than friends -- only for CJ to move to England a month later. During the time we were apart, we kept in touch online and spent countless hours on Skype, watching movies together, playing games, or just checking in. When it was tough, we'd make sure to make time to have fun (like ordering food for each other overseas). After two years, we decided there was something more to us and CJ decided to move home to see it through. After moving back to Canada, we settled into a small condo in Guelph and we built our life together. We got engaged at Jackson Triggs Winery in the summer of 2018 (somehow CJ was able to rope Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida into the proposal just before their concert!). How we decided on the venue was a bit serendipitous. We were out to brunch at the Cambridge Mill with a friend of ours (who ended up being our MC) and she decided that it would be the coolest thing ever to have a brunch wedding. She called over the GM, Alex, who promptly gave us amazing service and ideas for our wedding. What was important to us during our wedding was not only to share the fact that love is love with our families, but to also celebrate our two cultures coming together. CJ is Filipino/Chinese and Lindsey is Scottish/Irish and Canadian. We focused on making sure that we had elements that were representative of our own personal stories and cultures as we joined our families." - C&L ADVICE: "Compromise and work with each other -- the day is both of yours! Plan, plan, plan! Don't leave anything to the last minute! This way it is easier to stay within budget and to make alternate arrangements if needed." - C&L •
