Lady Bonin’s Tea is a South African based company that sources, blends, packages and distributes full leaf teas, either loose or in biodegradable tea bags. The teas and herbals are sourced locally and internationally from small-scale, social and environmentally driven farms that are organic wherever possible, and that go beyond organic into Wild and Biodiverse. The predominantly organic herb, spice, fruit and floral ingredients are 100% real, with no additives, creating unique blends that are a premium quality and deep flavour cascades. The company is Organic and Halaal certified.

Where it all began Founded in 2010 by Jessica Bonin, aka Lady Bonin, out of a 1975 Jurgens Caravan selling take-away tea at markets, festivals and private functions. It was South Africa’s first Food Truck and the worlds first Tea Caravan! Lady Bonin’s Tea was selling take away tea before Starbucks!

Where it is today Today, Lady Bonin’s Tea has its own in-house production facility where all product development, blending, packaging and distribution occur. Once the teas are blended, they are packaged under the Lady Bonin’s Tea brand and distributed to various retail outlets, through online avenues, to restaurants and hotels. We are slowly tapping into export markets. Lady Bonin’s Tea opened South Africa’s very first Tea Bar in 2016. It is a unique concept that takes every way you can enjoy coffee and replaces it with tea. Why does coffee get to have all the fun? The flavours and blends are infinite from frappes to lattes, chinos and even traditional teas. Adjoining the Tea Bar is a traditional tea ceremony room where unique teas and traditional ceremonies from around the world can be enjoyed. In 2015 Lady Bonin’s Tea took part in a Business Incubator program focusing on Impact Business. At the end of the incubator a pitch deck was held to raise funding and select a winner for the incubator. Lady Bonin’s Tea won, securing its first round of funding and leading to its now partners, Hivos Food and Lifestyle Fund. sales@ladybonin.com

Established in 2006, Mythos has fast become renowned for its authentic Greek cuisine. And ‘authentic’ is not a term we use lightly. Our Head Chef brings with her a wealth of family recipes, and insists upon importing all her key ingredients from Greece. This authentic culinary approach has garnered us the title of Best Greek Restaurant in Joburg, Pretoria and Ekurhuleni at the Best of Awards from 2013 to 2017. We have also won the Best Neighbourhood Restaurant and Best New Restaurant titles in 2015, 2016 and in 2017, respectively. But for us, it’s not about awards, or accolades, or recognition. For us, our business is sharing the warmth of our unique Greek culture and tradition with you.

The local cuisine in Mauritius originates from three continents – in line with the birthplaces of its inhabitants. By visiting the island, guests have the opportunity to sample a variety of foods, including Indian, Chinese, Creole and European. Mauritian cooking is in a class of its own: a combination of flavours that have evolved through its different cultural heritages and cooking traditions. Mauritians are creative with food, mixing various styles in a single menu. They are just as happy to experiment with recipes from Chinese, Indian or Muslim cuisines as they are to create tempting Creole or European dishes. Mauritian cuisine is proud of its heritage, but has also gained a fine reputation in the contemporary culinary world. Leading chefs such as Paul Bocuse, Alain Ducasse and the Troisgros brothers have visited the island and introduced menus to boost the top-quality cuisine already available. Local chefs meanwhile are known for their creativity and ‘savoir-faire’, using traditional and local ingredients to create modern fare for some of the island’s most famous hotels. ‘Table D’Hôte’ One of the best ways to experience the pleasure and flavours of truly local fare is to visit a typical ‘table d’hôte’ or a local, specialised restaurants. Do not hesitate to try the local favourite snacks, including ‘dholl purri’ wheat pancakes stuffed with dholl and served with curry and tomato sauce, faratas, gateaux piments (chilli bites) and samosas.
