Dear Friends, A very active third quarter helped the overall market make up ground it lost in the first half of the year when comparing numbers to 2015. Year-to-date unit sales are up over 4% and dollar volume is down just 3.61%. Even more encouraging is that residential properties under contract are up 40% compared to a year ago at this time. Inventory challenges are emerging in some markets making the combination of active home shoppers and limited availability a prime opportunity to showcase your property with less competition compared to the middle of the summer. As we embark on our 4th year as a Berkshire Hathaway company, our national network of over 1,200 offices and more than 42,000 real estate professionals will open its first offices abroad next year. Combine this with the fact that Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices has the only real estate web site to translate every listing for sale in the MLS into over 10 languages and our international presence will not be matched. Innovative tools and resources remain a focus for our organization in 2017.
