Zambezi Elephant Fund

Betsy and Bill Verner

Did you know that Zimbabwe is home to the world's second-largest elephant population? These majestic animals face an uncertain future due to illegal poaching and an increasing loss of habitat. Fortunately, the Zambezi Elephant Fund (ZEF) is working to mitigate these threats. ZEF works with local authorities across the Zambezi Valley to protect the elephants and other wildlife by preserving their habitat. In addition, ZEF understands the importance of community development and fostering meaningful education and economic activity in the most threatened areas. ZEF works with its U.S. Fiscal Partner, ReWild (based in Texas), to raise funds.
