As many of my blog readers already know, I’ve been freelancing as a writer and editor since 2007. What you may not be aware of is that I’m also a Senior Editor with Anaiah Press. I would be delighted for you to submit any completed manuscripts that fit within Anaiah’s submission guidelines: While it is unlikely that you’ll ever feel your manuscript is 100% polished, perfect, and ready for publication, it must be complete. Ideally, your manuscript should have a strong inspirational theme or message of faith. Your manuscript doesn’t have to be in-your-face religious, but it absolutely should not have anti-Christian propaganda or include something that would be offensive to many of those of faith (such as gratuitous sex). At Anaiah, I am Senior Editor of two imprints: Inspirations and Adventures. Inspirations is the imprint that includes works of nonfiction between 20,000 and 90,000 words. If you have a nonfiction memoir, devotional study, biography, or creative nonfiction that fits Anaiah’s guidelines outlined above, this is the imprint you’d be querying about. Adventures is the imprint that includes children’s books less than 60,000 words. Adventures covers everything from picture books to early readers to middle grade chapter books. Whether you have a historical picture book or a contemporary school drama aimed at middle schoolers, this is the imprint your manuscript would fall under.
