Her brand Annouskha’s designs are what fantasies in precious metal and stones are made of. The kind that crown the sashay of celebrities down the red carpet. ake a deep breath - as you walk down the aisle that makes the dreams of the rich and famous, wearing jewellery that makes a statement, a personal one. “I design what I like to wear,” explains Annoushka. “It must be comfortable, versatile, and unfussy, yet, it must also tell a story. I love colour and my jewellery reflects this,” she adds. Annoushka’s jewellery reflects her extensive travels. Her designs exude eternal elegance peppered with a sense of fun. The exotic jewels, designed with exquisite craftsmanship lend themselves to the persona of the owner. Annoushka’s maternal Russian heritage, growing up in London, studying in France and moving to Hong Kong in the late eighties to work with local artisans; translates into a fine blend of capturing the romance of jewels. She works closely with her design team to showcase Annoushka’s timeless creations to extraordinary effect. The corollary being the collections reflect her creative process. Her superior flair for interpreting colour, her ability to render texture, illuminate colour, lend movement and mood to jewellery is the result of spending 25 years working alongside master craftsmen plying age-old and innovative techniques at the jewellery bench. The creations retain a spirit of spontaneity backed by an astute sense of narrative. The result is sheer magic with the elements of her spirit of modernity.

Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II for her services to British jewellery industry, spanning three decades. Annoushka’s initiation into the jewellery world was a line of cufflinks, made for her mother’s seafood company that wittily evoked leaping salmon. The concept proved the starting point of the luxury brand, Links Of London, founded jointly with her husband, entrepreneur John Ayton, in 1990, featuring jewellery in silver for men and women. When they sold the brand in 2006, there were 50 Links of London stores in 25 countries. Annoushka’s passion and eye for originality has led her to work alongside a small number of handpicked guest designers, in particular, her affinity with Russian Ilgiz Fazulzyanov’s incredibly intricate designs. Her contribution to innovation in design, marketing, packaging and communication has brought in scores of prestigious jewellery industry awards and accolades; Jewellery Designer of the Year, Gift Designer of the Year, Brand of the Year (twice). Annoushka was short-listed for the Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year. She has taken an active role in nurturing young creative talent, overseeing a very successful annual jewellery design project with students at Central St. Martins College of Art and Design. Annoushka and John live in Chichester, Sussex and in London, with their four children, Marina, Oliver, Chloe and Oscar.
