Approximate Cost

Please note that once you have provided consent to have your child participate on the excursion you will be charged for the expenses incurred on your child's behalf for this excursion. Where, after you have provided your consent, notice is given that your child cannot attend the excursion, efforts will be taken to avoid incurring expenses on your child's behalf for the excursion, and you will be only charged those expenses that could not be recouped.

Following this excursion the balance shall be calculated based on the actual invoices and the remainder will be billed to the student’sYork School account.

StudentAthletes will require approximately $50-100 for meals during the competition

Activities to be undertaken by students: Provincial Championships, team building activities, Opening Ceremonies, team meetings, team meals, travel by bus

Student preparation for excursion: Attending team practices.Also, students will be informed of the specific trip rules that will apply. Once on site, students will be briefed on more specific objectives and additional on-site safety rules Follow-up:

Specific Risks Identified: Students wandering away from supervisors, injury on the court & transportation accidents Cuts, scrapes, broken bones, bruising, sprains, becoming separated from the group CovidTransmission

Precautions to be taken to reduce or eliminate risks: All coaches will have cell phones and be able to communicate any emergencies to parents immediately The staff is trained in first aid and there are medical personnel on site for games There is a 9:1 student to staff ratio Assessment of situational risks will be ongoing and the teachers will have their Emergency Medical Information Folders with them EMS/911 service is available in the area, maps to hospital ready, and evacuation plans from activity areas will be used. All athletes participating in the tournament are all double vaccinated.

Contingency plan for bad weather/trip interruption: Any transportation delays will be communicated to parents OFSAAhas an EmergencyAction Plan in place for all participants

Location of nearest Emergency Medical Service: While competing in Collingwood, we will use on-site medical personnel

Medical Station Location: Patrol Hut, beside theAdministration Building

Ambulance Location: Collingwood General and Marine Hospital

Arrangements to be made to transport person/group to EMS (including route to be taken): If required, Mr Stewart or Ms Calhoun will accompany any student to the hospital.

Additional Information:- Coaches will provide all athletes the opportunity to participate in competition and develop their skills
