STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

Jadon Emokpae

CONGRATS!!

Our student spotlights recognize students who are exceptionally demonstrating growth and musically excelling. We are so grateful to be associated with these fantastic students and their supportive parents! Again, congratulations Jadon! Keep up the great work!

"I am nominating Jadon Emokpae because of his accomplishments at such a young age. Jadon has been a YMU student since he was 5 years old. He is now 11 years old and he is already playing for a church as well as playing various classical songs by composers such as Friedrich Burgmuller (Arabesque), Johann Sebastian Bach (Minuet in G), and Ludwig van Beethoven (Moonlight Sonata). Jadon is not only growing in sightreading, but he is also learning how to read chord charts."

I am a 6th grader at Blythwood middle school. I like to learn different songs on the piano. I play the piano at Village Church for their middle school youth program. At my school, I am a percussionist. I like YMU because it's a good environment to learn different instruments. The advice that I would give another student would be to keep on practicing and you’ll see progress.
