Data management for the Built Environment
About Us We at Springboard provide services and software for the delivery of BIM. Simply, the solutions address and de-risk the integration of data for our clients. We have been providing data integration solutions to the construction industry since 2005 with 85% of turnover achieved through repeat business, and 30% of turnover from long term agreements. Few work with Clients, Design teams, constructors and their supply chains to provide quality as built information on time. Springboard, our Cloud-based Electronic Data Management Platform is allows for the creation of correct and validated data efficiently for Building Information Models (BIM) and Asset Information Models (AIM). We follow the best practice recommendations of the UK Governments Construction BIM Task Group related to the collaborative production and delivery of information for construction projects. This also includes the essential principals of Government Soft Landings (GSL).

Data-driven information management DATA-DRIVEN INFORMATION MANAGEMENT Data management for the Built Environment
Objective: To ensure all information can be shared in common formats using flexible software tools and modules to enable data that can be managed, viewed, analysed and updated.
Integration tools (ie. APIs) enable data to be exchanged between databases (e.g. Between Springboard and a CAFM System.)
Solution: Our first software platform was created in 2005 to
streamline our business and use data to improve the delivery of information at project handover, with features largely driven by our customers. Since categorized as Building Information Modelling (BIM), we have a database of over 6,000 buildings and have completed over 11,000 projects, mainly in the UK. The database is built on BIM Level 2 industry standards PAS1192-2 and BS1192-4 (Construction and Operations Building information exchange) and Government Soft Landings. SpringboardŠ, our proprietary platform is an easy-to-use cloud based software, with pre-defined templates and processes, and expert guidance to get up and running quickly and cost-effectively with flexibility to share data using industry standard IFC and COBie data exchanges.

Springboard is a managed platform that ensures all data follows a defined process. With intelligent templates containing LOIs and links to models, users can simply define and control all aspects of information production from start to finish.
DESIGNER Designers need to understand the Handover Information Requirements to deliver the Project Information Model (PIM). This includes, but not limited to, Equipment Schedules, Log Books, BIM Model and Asset LODs / LOIs. Have I incorporated enough detail in the design ?

Contractors/Designers further develop the IFC Models through to the handover stage… Assets in the model are linked to their corresponding data on Springboard. Relevant & Approved documents can be uploaded onto Springboard as the project progress.
Supply chain subcontractors and equipment installers need to provide O&M manuals, certification and as built models and drawings.
Reviews need to be carried out by Project Delivery Team. The status of all information as well as access to latest information is required.
Handover information needs to be delivered at completion including Design Information, O&M Manuals, Asset Registers, 3D Models and 2D Drawings.

Springboard can be used to create the Data Templates for all Assets and Disciplines. Asset information from the design team can be recorded into these templates. This information can be linked to corresponding Asset(s) in the BIM Model and can be validated in accordance with the Original EIRs.
